GLEE: Lea Michele Teases Season 3

The GLEE season premiere is less than a week away!
To celebrate the occasion, Give Me My Remote got a few quick minutes with Lea Michele earlier this week to see what she could dish about Rachel’s storyline in season 3…
With Rachel getting ready to graduate, what is her main goal for this year and this season?
Lea Michele: To get into the college of her dreams. It’s in New York, yeah.
And with the arrival of the new glee club, what is that going to mean for Rachel?
LM: The new glee club?
I’ve heard there is a second glee club forming at their high school…
LM: Oh, yes, Shelby’s creating another glee club. My storyline hasn’t kind of connected to that yet, but I know some of the other characters, it has. My storyline is sort of separate from that.
Have there been any Rachel-Shelby scenes so far?
LM: Yeah, but as my mother, [but] not involved it that [second glee club] storyline.
Before I let you go, what can you tease about what’s going on with Rachel and Finn? Fans love those two together!
LM: Yeah, we’re great. We’re happy. I love talking about it like it’s my relationship. We’re going strong, and you know, we’re just at this point a solid couple. I think the drama is gone and now we’re just, you know, together, which is really nice.

Really hoping there is something they are not telling us about the “second glee club” storyline. Because honestly as it stands, it sounds like an awful plot line. Ne Directions has struggled to get new members and yet there is a second glee club at the same school? Ugh…it really annoys me. And if they put Blaine in that other glee club, it’s going to annoy me even more.
I’m going to keep the faith and hope that the writers have something else up their sleeves that will help this make sense.
Kath – I agree the second glee club sounds weird. New Directions already has trouble recruiting and keeping 12 members as it is and now there’s going to be another one competing with them at the same school? How does that make sense with the “glee club kids aren’t popular” storyline that has been the core of the show since the beginning?
And yes, keep Blaine and Kurt in the same glee club! Blaine needs to dorky dance with the New Directions!
Yes!!! I’m excited about the way Finn and Rachel are going to explore each other with storylines on their own but at the same time sharing their connection and being there for their significant other. I love the way she talks about Finchel and pretty much I hope for a very good PDA season 3 in terms of Finchel.
How exciting! I can’t wait to see Finn and Rachel togetherness and I really can’t wait to see how they handle the future together!
It’ll be really really nice to see Rachel and Finn together without a whole bunch of drama in the way! They haven’t really given them a chance to be in a secure relationship (not even at the beginning of season two when they were legit dating) so I can’t wait to see that! 🙂

I love the fact that finally, the writers of a TV show are actually going to let the characters be happy! It always happens that the two main characters get together and then bang, someone dies or bang, someone cheats. Finally we can just spend a good few episodes going “ahhhh!”

Finn and Rachel are the only reason I watch. Their relationship is beautiful and relatable. I just want them to be happy! They both make the show, a spin off with them would be gold. I love them!! New York was the best episode of season two.

Awwww Finchel! Finn is the best boy for Rachel. Their love is a story for the ages! Finn is adorable and truly loves Rachel.. They make the entire show for me… Love them!

And unrelated to the fiasco that is Finchel, how long ago was the picture at the top taken? Because Lea doesn’t have her bangs and Dianna has her long hair.
I couldn’t love a pair more then I love Finn and Rachel. They are epic. Can’t wait for their journey. Also hope Quinn and puck get back together. True love!

Writers, just let Finn and Rachel BE HAPPY TOGETHER!!! And for those who are shouting for other couplings for them, yeah, that’s what YOU want. But on the show, Finn loves Rachel and Rachel loves Finn. It took them 2 years, but I think they’re finally on the right track. And writers, please let them be happy together!!!

GLEE has touched my heart.. Its amazing & corky story lines are perfect! Cant wait to snuggle up to cry, laugh & sing on the 20th:) I know its just a show but i loves it<3!!!!

also, finchel again, really? that pairing has killed glee and the growth of so many characters. that ship = no.
i love glee! and i really can’t wait for it! i’ve been waiting for so long already!…im really looking forward to see the new quinn – thats really exciting. but i just don’t like finchel (sorry finchel fans)! im a hardcore fuinn shipper and i think finn belongs with quinn. other tahn finchel im sure it will be great though! especially with mike chang and blaine becoming bigger characters!
Totally don’t like the whole Finchel idea. They just don’t have the same dreams and aspirations. I love the whole Jesse/Rachel thing…. What would we call that?? St Berry, I suppose? Anywhoo…. Not sure about the whole thing about ANOTHER glee club at the same school. I mean… Who does THAT? I’m just hoping to see Season 3 go well, and concentrate on other characters on the show.
It’s a TV show so it’s more fun to see people who are different come together. Jesse and Rachel are too much alike, their egos will clash and they will never be happy if one achieves more success than the other. With Finn and Rachel, it’s different. He is in awe of her talent and will support her to the end.

I am so excited to see Idina Menzel again this season, love the pair of Shelby and Rachel . Those two voices are amazing together. As for Finn and Rachel love to see them going strong they are meant for each other.
I am so excited for Finchel this season! No drama, just them being together and being happy! I will go postal if anything happens to mess with their love this season!
Paul Birch, Lea Michele was on Broadway before she was ever on Glee. Check out Spring Awakening–she’s incredible in it.
And I couldn’t care less who’s dating who–they’ve gone through so many pairings that they’re just recycling old relationships now. I just want to see more of Idina Menzel.
Finn and Rachel are perfect. All the other pairings are terrible. I agree with who ever said that the opposites are the best. Mercedes and Sam..ummm I don’t know where they were going with that. I wish they would put Sam back on the show. Ok, I actually like the show because they can actually sing and dance (less Finn). Also, they actually act like high schoolers… hoping from one relationship to the next and then back again. Watching Finn w/ Quinn was torture, because its so obvious Finn and Rachel belong together.
