FRINGE Promo: ‘Alarm’ Pokes Fun at their Baseball Delay

October 28, 2011 by

Hey, MLB World Series — FRINGE isn’t going to take this preemption lying down.

As you may have seen, thanks to weather conditions and an unlikely come-from-behind-win, “Novation” (the FRINGE episode that was originally scheduled to air tonight) has been pushed back to next week. Boo! And while that might temporarily confuse fans who tune in tonight hoping to see their favorite show, Fox has found a clever solution to make sure viewers won’t forget the revised airdate.

Take a look at their new “Alarm” promo, which, unless I’m mistaken, has a little bit of new footage for you guys, too…

World Series Game 7 Pushes Back FRINGE, KITCHEN NIGHTMARES and CBS Shows

October 28, 2011 by

Last night’s St. Louis Cardinals victory in game 6 of the World Series — one of the best playoff games in recent history — came at a price: tonight’s regularly scheduled FRINGE and KITCHEN NIGHTMARES will be bumped so Fox can air the final game of the World Series. (Those episodes will air next week.)

In addition, CBS has opted out of airing originals of their shows and will instead air reruns of A GIFTED MAN, CSI: NY, and BLUE BLOODS. No word yet if NBC (which is premiering CHUCK and GRIMM), The CW or ABC will alter their schedules, but if we hear anything, we’ll let you know.

Are you guys okay with really good baseball bumping TV? Or do you wish your favorite shows were on?

About Last Night…THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, THE SECRET CIRCLE, THE OFFICE and More

Filed under #1 featured, About Last Night

Remember how I said yesterday I only planned to sporadically tune in to the World Series game 6 “if I heard something good was going on via Twitter”? (Sorry Rangers and Cardinals fans. I love me some baseball — especially my beloved Dodgers — but there is an insane amount of TV on this week.) So while I stayed true to my word for most of the game, from the ninth inning on, things got insane.

Long story short, Cardinals came from behind to win, and there is no FRINGE today.

But there was other TV on Thursday besides the baseball game, so let’s get talking about that!

About Last Night…SUBURGATORY, HAPPY ENDINGS, AMERICAN HORROR STORY and More

October 27, 2011 by
Filed under #1 featured, About Last Night

With the World Series rained out, that kind of messed up my Wednesday night television plans. See, as much as I love baseball, with two teams I have very little interest in participating in the series, it would have warranted me flipping in to check the score/tuning in if I heard something good was going on via Twitter.

Instead, we got two GLEE repeats. And despite having new television shows on…I kind of got sucked in, despite not liking one of the episodes.

Sigh.

So let’s talk about Wednesday TV and you can judge me appropriately in the comments, okay?

AMERICAN HORROR STORY Recap: ‘Halloween, Part 1’

Comments Off on AMERICAN HORROR STORY Recap: ‘Halloween, Part 1’

For a show that seems to be more a collection of ideas and concepts than an actual coherent whole, Halloween sounds like the type of occasion where AMERICAN HORROR STORY could go all-out and completely off the rails. Yet, surprisingly, “Halloween, Part 1” was the series’ most restrained, and best, episode to date; we’ll see where things go in Part 2 next week, but for now it looks like having a central focus for everything to revolve around works in the show’s favor.

GLEE: Jonathan Groff Returns! So, What Should Jesse St. James Be Up To?

Comments Off on GLEE: Jonathan Groff Returns! So, What Should Jesse St. James Be Up To?

The biggest news from GLEE’s 300th musical performance celebration earlier today? The upcoming return of Jonathan Groff’s Jesse St. James!

According to E!, Jesse will return for four episodes this season as the new coach of Vocal Adrenaline, and while I hope his return won’t mean a redux of the Rachel/Jesse relationship, I also wouldn’t mind if the duo sang together again. (And by that, I mean, please GLEE writers, can you have them perform a duet?!)

But enough about what I want to see — I want to hear from you. What do you hope Jesse is up to in his latest trip to GLEE? Do you hope he finds romance? Maybe you have a particular song in mind for him to perform? Let’s hear it!

BONES: Hart Hanson and Stephen Nathan Tease Cam’s Role in Season 7, the Status of the Bonus Hours, Plus a Tease for ‘One of the Best Episodes’

October 26, 2011 by

Given the mass amount of spoilers out there for BONES season 7 (and we’ll acknowledge our part in that), it’s really hard to tease the series any further without completely ruining it.

However, when BONES executive producers Hart Hanson and Stephen Nathan participated in a conference call with reporters earlier today, the absence of Cam-related storylines prompted me to ask them what they could tell us about our favorite forensic pathologist in the new season…
