Last Man Standing | 8pm on ABC
“Grandparent’s Day”
When Vanessa forces a reluctant Mike to attend Grandparents Day at their grandson Boyd’s preschool, Mike manages to insult the daycare teacher and Boyd gets kicked out of school. Boyd’s mom, Kristin, tells Mike that he now has to look after him, so Mike takes the two-year-old to work with him. Meanwhile, after an elderly looking grandmother at the Grandparents Day event thinks she and Vanessa are the same age, Vanessa goes out of her way to look more youthful — hoping no one sees her buying clothes from a boutique her 17-year-old daughter, Mandy, shops at.

The Biggest Loser | 8pm on NBC
“Episode 1205″
One player is chosen to go home this week with their trainer, and get the coveted prize of immunity. But the prize doesn’t look quite as desirable when the chosen contestant learns that their weight will be the only weight that counts for their team this week. Meanwhile, the players left at the ranch race through a maze to fill a large cylinder with soda in a night challenge that gives the winning team a great “pay it forward” prize. While the trainer who left the ranch devises grueling workouts for their player and worries about the fractured team they left behind, another trainer gets angry with a contestant who is constantly hiding behind humor. And one player boldly confronts her trainer about the way she is being treated. Later, another contestant is sent packing after a tense weigh-in reveals whether the player who went home lost enough to keep their team safe.

NCIS | 8pm on CBS
“Safe Harbor”
When a coast guard officer is gunned down on a cargo vessel, the NCIS team searches for the killer, but finds a Lebanese family seeking refuge on American soil. Meanwhile, Tony and McGee try and find the perfect woman for Gibbs.

90210 | 8pm on The CW
“Benefit of the Doubt”
Liam gets offered a modeling job after an agent sees the commercial for his bar, while Annie finds herself starting to fall for an unlikely guy. During a charity talent show event to raise money for an experimental cancer treatment for Raj, Naomi is determined to win the contest in order to show up Austin’s out-of-town visitor Sally. While working on his music, Dixon pushes his limits and starts spiraling out of control, which forces Adrianna to confront him.

The X-Factor | 8pm on Fox | Special Night
“Judges’ Homes #3”
The Judges’ Homes round comes to a dramatic conclusion as judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, L.A. Reid and Nicole Scherzinger and their celebrity guest-mentors finalize the boys, girls, over 30′s, and groups that will make up the final 16 and move one step closer to become the next global superstar or breakout music group. Find out who will make it through “Judges’ Homes” and continue the quest for a $5 million recording contact with Syco/Sony Music.

Man Up! | 8:30pm on CBS | Series Premiere
“Pilot”
Will is more interested in finding the perfect gift for his son Nathan’s 13th birthday than in doing his job selling insurance. His best friend, sensitive soul Craig, still pines for his college ex, Lisa. Will’s brother-in-law, Kenny, clamps down on his anger and asks himself, “What would Tobey Maguire do?,” when his ex-wife, Brenda, starts seeing a guy who is everything he’s not and much better looking. After Craig crashes Lisa’s wedding to try to win her back, they are all faced with an opportunity to “man up” and be like their forefathers.

It’s time for a heat wave in Bluebell! And really, that can only mean one thing on a CW show — there are a lot of half-naked men on HART OF DIXIE tonight.

However, I solemnly swear that is not why I’m telling you to watch the show. Rather, it’s merely a bonus to an already fantastic show. The heat makes a few people act out and it pushes certain relationships to a boiling point.

When an orphaned “Sixer” girl comes to Terra Nova seeking asylum, Jim and Shannon are at odds if they can trust her; Mira plots to reclaim a valued possession; Taylor begins to suspect there is a traitor in his midst and Reynolds admits his feelings for Maddy.

Gossip Girl | 8pm on The CW
“Memoirs of an Invisible Dan”
After much deliberation, Dan decides to gather Serena, Blair, Nate, Chuck, Rufus and Lily to reveal the truth about his book in the hope that they will support him at his book party. Meanwhile, Blair and Louis hit a crises point after Louis reads Dan’s book. Diana learns incriminating information about one of Nate’s friends and uses it to her advantage.

“Top Ten Groups: Guilty Pleasure Music”
The 10 remaining groups perform “guilty pleasures” for the judges with the hopes of garnering their votes to become one step closer to being named a cappella champion. Two groups will be eliminated. The group that remains standing at the end of the season receives the prize of $200,000 cash and a Sony Music recording contract. Nick Lachey hosts and Sara Bareilles, Ben Folds and Shawn Stockman serve as judges.

The Lying Game | 8pm on ABC Family | Summer Finale
“East of Emma”
It’s the twins’ seventeenth birthday and instead of celebrating their first birthday together, Emma is planning her escape as an angry Sutton returns to Phoenix to get her life back. Knowing it had to come to an end sometime, Emma tries to say goodbye to the family and friends she always dreamed of before Sutton arrives home and reveals the truth. But hell hath no fury like a scorned Sutton, and she doesn’t just plan on revealing the truth, she plans on also ruining Emma in the process.

Two Broke Girls | 8:30pm on CBS
“And The 90s Horse Party”
Caroline and Max throw a ’90′s-themed party at the diner to attract rich hipsters and raise money for their cupcake business; Caroline is horrified when her rich ex-boyfriend comes into the diner.

Only on DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES would a murder cover-up be preferable to an affair.

But that’s the situation for Mike Delfino, who was convinced his wife, Susan was cheating on him with his good buddy Carlos. Instead, they finally admitted to him in the last episode that they weren’t sleeping together — Carlos had actually killed his wife’s evil stepfather and the women of Wisteria Lane had helped him cover it up. FRINGE Recap: ‘Subject 9′

A few weeks back, I pointed to “One Night in October” as a prime example of how even in its smaller episodes, FRINGE excels.
