The Cast of PAN AM Teases ‘Unscheduled Departure’

As we’ve previously teased, Sunday’s brand new episode of PAN AM puts the crew in a dangerous situation when an on-board emergency forces them to land in war-torn Haiti.

To find out what’s coming up on the show, I sat down with series stars Margot Robbie (Laura), Michael Mosley (Ted), Karine Vanasse (Colette), Mike Vogel (Dean) and Christina Ricci (Maggie) on their New York set — Kelli Garner (Kate) was unavailable due to her filming schedule, so her costars came in on their day off to talk with press — to discuss what goes down in “Unscheduled Departure.” And yes, we did the interviews inside their plane set. (Which is remarkable to be in, if only to see how much travel has changed in 50 years.)

FRINGE Recap: ‘And Those We’ve Left Behind’

“You, Peter. You’re the problem.”

Oh, Dream!Olivia. How your words wound. And yet…she’s not entirely wrong. Peter is back and as fans of the series, it arguably makes our viewing experience more complete, more enjoyable, more of the show we know and love. But for these people, the people he — and we — care about, are things really better for them right now? In terms of the two people he cares most about, he’s confused Olivia and he’s massively distressed Walter. (Of course, one could also argue they’re not living up to their true potential without that relationship with Peter, but they don’t really know that.)

And then there’s the tiny little matter that he may have broken time.

FRINGE fans, tonight’s episode is a good one. (Actually, it might be my favorite episode of the season so far.)

Not only does Peter get to go out in the field with the Fringe team to investigate a bizarre time loop, but real-life spouses Stephen Root and Romy Rosemont guest star as a scientist couple facing their own set of problems.

Given that this is the first time the duo has acted in a project together, how did it all come to be? To get an answer, I went to FRINGE executive producer Jeff Pinkner.

PAN AM First Look: ‘Unscheduled Departure’

PAN AM regularly has its characters exploring glamorous locations on their layovers, but in Sunday’s brand new episode, “Unscheduled Departure,” things get particularly dicey — a passenger gets sick on the flight and the crew must make an unplanned trip to Haiti to get him medical help.

Unfortunately, for them, Haiti isn’t in the best shape. Not only is there political unrest and wars, but recent storms have impacted the power, making things even more difficult when it comes time to leave.

“Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” host Ty Pennington and singer/songwriter Jewel will take viewers on an inspiring journey back to some of the most heartwarming military stories featured throughout the series. The “EM:HE” crew will also pay a visit to select heroic families to find out what they’ve been up to since the makeover and how they are paying it forward by helping their fellow veterans. Throughout the episode, celebrities will highlight issues facing our military.
