About Last Night…GLEE, 90210, RAISING HOPE and More!
January 18, 2012 by Marisa Roffman
Tuesday TV is one of the “easier” nights of the week, but there’s still plenty to talk about, so let’s get chatting!
Technically, last night’s episode of GLEE should have thrilled me. Instead, I found myself more frustrated than ever because a) they tried to shove three episodes worth of plots into one hour and b) the show proved that occasionally they do remember their own former plot lines. Finn’s father had been a dangling plot point for years (in the pilot, Finn thought a photo of George W. Bush was his father), so I’m glad it was finally addressed again. I wish the Becky-Artie storyline had been saved for another less crowded episode. Same for Coach Bieste’s random marriage. Oh, GLEE.
Um, how did the police not do testing on Liam’s motorcycle on 90210? Seriously? What kind of terrible police work is going on in fictional Beverly Hills? And while it may be totally convoluted, Silver dating Adrianna’s biological daughter’s adopted father was a twist I didn’t see coming until seconds before it was revealed.
RAISING HOPE brought back Drakkar Noir! The episode by itself was hysterical (the math mishaps alone were fantastic), but Drakkar Noir was the icing on the cake.
I loved that Elizabeth Burke was a bit of a bad-ass on WHITE COLLAR. She got herself out of a kidnapping! I do hope Neal is officially “free” in 3 months, because it would be interesting to see how his dynamic with the team shifts when he’s on more equal ground with them. I don’t want his character to fundamentally change, but it would be interesting to have a slight shift.

Raising Hope cracked me up BIG TIME– I also loved each person’s tutor and methods for learning. And Hope is the cutest, she really is.
