About Last Night…ONCE UPON A TIME, THE CLEVELAND SHOW, THE SIMPSONS and More

Sunday night TV!

Last night was mainly about Fox’s Animation Domination, but I also did watch ONCE UPON A TIME, too, so let’s talk about what happened…

As I was watching last night’s ONCE UPON A TIME, it hit me that the series is in a very interesting (and LOST-like) position — how much backstory is there left for several of these main characters? Please don’t get me wrong, because I wholly appreciate many of these questions not being dragged out for years, but I’m very curious how things will play out 10, 20, 30 episodes from now. But in terms of last night’s episode, I’m very curious about what the Stranger is going to do with the book. And I’m glad Giancarlo Esposito’s Sidney Glass/Magic Mirror/former genie got a little bit of a backstory, and he is now one of the people I want to most realize the truth of the curse…after what the Evil Queen did to him, there is no way he’s not going to want some major payback.

Virtually any musical number on THE CLEVELAND SHOW makes me smile, so I enjoyed last night’s episode. Chonie (Rosie Perez) is a very big new presence, and it’ll be interesting to see how they weave her in to other storylines now that she’s living near Cleveland.

I was completely underwhelmed by THE SIMPSONS episode. Moe’s rag telling stories about its’ journey throughout the years? (Yes, seriously.) Oh well.

I’m very curious to see if there is any fallout from FAMILY GUY‘s take on Christian Scientists. I liked the episode, but I can imagine some people will be very, very, very upset about the show a) showcasing a family who refused to treat a child with cancer, b) having Lois kidnap the kid in order to try and get him treatment and then c) having the kid’s parents caving to Lois’ pressure to get their son medical help.
