About Last Night…GOSSIP GIRL, HART OF DIXIE, HOUSE and More

You know they say “life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans”? Well, this isn’t exactly as deep, but my plans for last night’s television viewing did get thrown for a major loop.

I planned on watching HOUSE and ALCATRAZ. I actually did watch about 20 minutes of each, but I found myself so annoyed with all of THE X FACTOR news that I became too frustrated to watch those shows. (Trust me, I think it was bizarre reason to turn off the TV, too.)

But I did watch the CW shows, so let’s talk about Monday TV!

I can absolutely understand why some people might not have loved last night’s episode of GOSSIP GIRL, but I loved it. I never thought Blair would marry Louis, but she did. I figured the show would stoop to having Chuck break up the wedding, but they didn’t, really. And while if I was Blair, I would have been considerably more annoyed about my best friend and my mother trying to stop my wedding, as a viewer, I appreciated everyone not sitting around and watching her make a mistake. I’m very curious to see the fallout of Blair and Dan (platonically) running away together, because I feel like that is going to be intense. But Georgina as Gossip Girl? Please. I’d totally buy her as Gossip Girl 2.0, but I don’t believe she is the same entity we have known for 100 episodes. (Um, and how did Nate not find out “Lola” was really Charlie in all his magical research?)

I just adore HART OF DIXIE. I may be a little iffy on who I want Zoe with right now, but I respect the fact that Wade is being open about his feelings for her with his friends. That’s realistic! I enjoy my fair share of “will they/won’t they” drama, but it’s refreshing to have someone just own up to their feelings so early in a show’s run.
