About Last Night…THE BIG BANG THEORY, THE FINDER, THE OFFICE and More

February 24, 2012 by

Last week, I said Thursday night TV was my Everest. It feels a bit like cheating if I watched everything I intended to on a Thursday when the CW was in repeats and I’m behind on two other Thursday shows. (Sorry GREY’S and PERSON OF INTEREST.)

But still, tons of TV to talk about…

THE BIG BANG THEORY was great, as Sheldon “let loose” after finding himself unable to get a haircut from his regular barber. (Though let’s be thankful when he decided 3 AM bongo-playing was a good idea that he kept his clothes on.) Amy playing “Wanted Dead or Alive” on a harp? Amazing. Though I did not need the vomit visual Howard gave us. Ew, ew, ew.

How are you guys liking the Ann and Tom relationship on PARKS & REC? I feel like this is something I should be loving, but I’m not quite sold yet. Meanwhile, if we’re lucky enough to have this show around in four years, I hope Jerry gets a better birthday celebration in 2016.

Ugh, AMERICAN IDOL. (Literally all I want to say. I’m tired of complaining about a show I once loved. You can read about the 24 semifinalists and the “shocking twist” here.)

Hodgins+aliens+many of the BONES sets=a fun episode of THE FINDER. I thought it was silly how they explained away Hodgins’ time off — the Jeffersonian shut down because Cam went on vacation? What the heck are they going to do when Brennan leaves to have her baby? — his dynamic with Walter was great. I was also glad we got a break from the dream sequences. They might be more tolerable in small doses.

I think last night’s episode of THE OFFICE might have been my favorite of the season. The cold open with Angela, Pam, and Oscar ragging on each other (and eventually Andy) about their “parenting” complaints was amazing. Jim deflecting not-Pam’s cheating attempts was hysterical. Didn’t really care as much for the Dwight/Catherine Tate/Todd Packer storyline, but considering I enjoyed everything else, that’s a win these days with this show.

What did you guys watch last night?

Loved TBBT. It can take something as trivial as getting a haircut and make it downright hilarious. Just so you know, Person of Interest was excellent.
