PERSON OF INTEREST: Greg Plageman Teases ‘Identity Crisis’

March 29, 2012 by

NCAA basketball has derailed many of our favorite CBS shows this month, but with that winding down — finally! — PERSON OF INTEREST is back tonight with a brand new episode.

I spoke with executive producer Greg Plageman after the recent “Showrunners SuperSession” panel at the Television Academy Foundation’s TV Summit, and he shared a little bit of what fans can expect from the show’s return…

“[It] is an episode that is going to deal with the very nature of identity in this day and age and how that has become a much more malleable thing than we have ever experienced for people in this country,” Plageman teased. “The incubus of this show has always started with a social security number, and what if you had multiple people sharing a social security number? How would that come about? So the episode is called ‘Identity Crisis’ and it deals specifically with that.”

Oh, but that’s not all.

“You’re going to see Michael Emerson (Finch) in a whole new light,” he hinted. “In a way that you haven’t seen him before, out and about, that’s a lot of fun. I think people are going to be really taken aback by his versatility and his comedic chops. He’s very funny in that episode.”

Any theories about what that could mean?
