Mindy Kaling to Guest Star on THE OFFICE, Her Former OFFICE Boss to Direct An Episode of THE MINDY PROJECT

While Mindy Kaling will be very busy with the new Fox comedy THE MINDY PROJECT, she’ll also be making a quick trip back to THE OFFICE. During the Television Critics Association press tour panel for THE MINDY PROJECT, Kaling confirmed the Vulture report that she’ll be reprising her role of Kelly Kapoor in a couple episodes of her former show.

“I’m headed back,” she told reporters. “I think I’m going to be in the premiere which I’m really excited about and maybe another episode.”

Additionally, THE OFFICE boss Greg Daniels will be directing an upcoming episode of THE MINDY PROJECT. Kaling joked she wants to get to tell him, “Who’s the boss now?”

THE MINDY PROJECT premieres Tuesday, September 25th at 9:30 PM on Fox. Will you be tuning in?
