With NBC premiering many of its comedies tonight, it’s a pretty busy Thursday. (You guys will all be watching PARKS & RECREATION, right?)

“Auditions #6”
The auditions in front of an audience of thousands continue on THE X FACTOR. Don’t miss the unbelievable tryouts as judges Simon Cowell, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, and L.A. Reid continue their search to find the next global superstar or breakout music group worthy of a $5 million recording contract with Syco/Sony Music. “The Date Night Variable”

Last Resort | 8pm on ABC | Series Premiere
“Captain”
Five hundred feet beneath the ocean’s surface, the crew of the Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine “USS Colorado” – the most powerful nuclear submarine ever built — receive their orders. Over a communications channel designed only to be used if the U.S. homeland has been wiped out, they’re told to fire nuclear weapons at a foreign country. Captain Marcus Chaplin (Andre Braugher) demands confirmation of the orders, only to be unceremoniously relieved of duty. XO Sam Kendal (Scott Speedman) finds himself suddenly in charge of the submarine and facing the same difficult decision. When he also demands confirmation of the orders, the Colorado is fired upon and hit. The submarine and its crew, honorable patriots, now find themselves crippled on the ocean floor and declared rogue enemies of their own country.

As Chris (Will Arnett) and Scott (Luka Jones) take on their new business, Reagan (Christina Applegate) tries her best to get the hang of being a stay at home mom and deal with the quirks of the neighborhood. Meanwhile, Ava (Maya Rudolph) is unexpectedly reunited with her former accompanist, Walter (guest star Sean Hayes), whose life she may have ruined on her rise to success.

Two and a Half Men | 8:31pm on CBS | Season Premiere
“I Changed My Mind About the Milk”
Walden plans a big surprise for Zoey’s birthda. Grammy Award-winning musician Michael Bolton guest stars as himself and Brit Morgan (“True Blood”) guest stars as a woman Walden meets at a bar.

With Finch missing – kidnapped by his hacker nemesis, Root, in last season’s finale cliffhanger – Reese enlists Detectives Carter and Fusco to get his friend back, on the second season premiere of PERSON OF INTEREST, Thursday, Sept. 27 (9:01-10:01 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Meanwhile, The Machine never sleeps, disseminating a new number to Reese. Ken Leung (“Lost”) guest stars as the latest POI, and Amy Acker (“Dollhouse,” “Angel”) reprises her role as Root.

In the first of three live episodes, the six local winners from Orlando, Baltimore, New York, Chicago, Dallas and Los Angeles converge on Los Angeles’ Orpheum Theatre to represent their city and to compete for a chance to win a recording contract with Atlantic Records. In addition, viewers across America will have the chance to vote for the return of a fan favorite who didn’t win in their local city. Music icons Joe Jonas, Gloria Estefan, John Rich and Nelly will continue to provide guidance to the seven contestants as they battle it out on stage in their quest to becoming “The Next”.
