BONES: Meet Booth’s Mother!

BONES’ Booth is about to be hit with some more family drama — a rep for the show confirms that Joanna Cassidy has been tapped to play Marianne Booth, Seeley’s long-MIA mother, in the show’s upcoming season finale. (BONES’ eighth season is currently set to conclude on Monday, April 29th.) TV Guide Magazine was first to report the casting.

While virtually nothing has been said about Booth’s mother (we know she wrote jingles), family showing up hasn’t always been the best thing for our resident FBI agent — Booth may love his beloved grandfather (whom Booth credits for keeping him from killing himself as a kid), but the last time Pops showed up, it was to break the news that Booth’s estranged father had died.

Here’s hoping that whatever reason Mama Booth has for showing up is good and not destructive to her son…
