BONES Books GOSSIP GIRL’s Kelly Rutherford For a Guest Role

November 7, 2013 by

BONES has landed a former GOSSIP GIRL star for a very posh guest spot: a rep for BONES has confirmed that Kelly Rutherford (Lily van der Woodsen on the former CW soap) will guest star in an upcoming episode Stephanie McNamara, a woman from a wealthy family who gets involved in one of the Jeffersonian’s cases. The Hollywood Reporter was first to break the casting.

But that won’t be Stephanie’s only tie to her canvas — she also has a past with Hodgins (whose own family used to be loaded before Pelant stole their money). Hm…could she perhaps shed some light on his mostly unmentioned family?

There’s no set air date for the episode, but is anyone else really curious to see what will come from this hour?

If Hodgins’ loss of funds has created any problems for himself or the Jeffersonian which the Cantilever Group was funding, we have yet to see it. Anyway, now that Pelant is gone, where is Hodgins’ fortune and why hasn’t he gotten the remains back? Maybe this episode will address the issue.

@EL: I honestly don’t know, but I’d imagine Hodgins’ money is gone-gone at this point. Pelant could have drained it into any number of accounts (not to mention funding himself) to the point where they’d never be able to recover that.

Now, whether he could get it back because it was stolen from him, perhaps that’s a banking thing? I don’t know. I don’t know the real-life rules for D.C. and the show would have the liberty to operate under their own rules as it is.

But yes, hopefully it is addressed!
