FOREVER: Matt Miller Teases Abe and Adam’s Connection, Shares His Dream Guest Star

FOREVER is back on Tuesday, February 3rd after a few weeks of reruns, and big things are in store for Abe.

“The episode deals with Nazi art heist,” FOREVER creator Matt Miller shared. “And what that does is brings back into play some old feelings for Abe, because Abe was a child of the Holocaust, and he learns some things he didn’t know. And Adam, the anonymous caller, makes that connection for him.”

Which means, yes, Abe and Adam will have some meaningful (and face-to-face) interaction. “It’s a really cool episode,” Miller teases.

Elsewhere, as Jo and Henry continue to get closer, there is a bit of question (among some viewers) about what their relationship is evolving into. Before the show debuted, Miller positioned the duo as platonic (at least for the foreseeable future) noting their bond was to help them “be a more realized person, as opposed to them being romantically [linked]…certainly for the short-term, [romance] not our intention.” And while Miller isn’t ruling out a potential romance for Jo and Henry, the two will have other objects of their affection in the coming episodes.

“They have this great chemistry, but I think the key for both of them is getting over these ghosts that they’re in love with in order to move on, either with each other or another character,” Miller said. “For Henry, we brought in the Hilarie Burton character [who will return]…and we bring in a character in the last few episodes [of the season] that’s sort of a romantic interest for Jo.”

And while she probably wouldn’t be right for that role, there’s another person Miller hopes to snag for a guest spot on the show: Whoopi Goldberg!

“I have this part in mind for Whoopi Goldberg — she doesn’t know about it yet, but I got her to guest star on [my old show] 666 PARK AVENUE, so I’m hoping I can play that hand again,” Miller said. “It would be fun to play an ex [flame] of Judd’s, as well.”
