The HEROES revival, HEROES REBORN, is introducing a whole gaggle of new characters, but one original character — Jack Coleman’s HRG — will have a major presence on the 2015 limited series.

While HRG will be the most forefront returning character, a handful of original stars will appear on HEROES REBORN for guest spots/arcs.

One of those guest stars is Greg Grunberg (Matt Parkman), and at Comic-Con, he and Coleman touted the screen-time they got to share in HEROES REBORN.

“It’s an amazing scene,” Grunberg gushed in the video below. “When I come in, it was meant to be a scene we’ve done before on the show: extracting information from [HRG]. And it turned into something really [different].”

“It was really cool because we got to employ our history,” Coleman added. “We got to incorporate the fact that he knew and loved [HRG’s daughter] Claire; that all the things he’s trying to find out are painful and damaging to [Parkman] in a way he way he was not at all expecting.”

Check out what else Grunberg and Coleman had to say about their reunion…

For four seasons, Team Machine has fought the good fight on PERSON OF INTEREST, whether it’s trying to prevent crimes/save people, dealing with corrupt cops/public officials, or a competing (and very powerful) A.I.

But throughout it all, one member of Team Machine has been operating without knowing the truth of what’s going on: as of now, Fusco still doesn’t know what’s going on with the Machine. (Which has undoubtedly kept him safe on more than one occasion, but that’s not likely going to be something Fusco is thrilled about when all the lies come to light.)

So will season 5 be the year Fusco’s finally looped in? PERSON OF INTEREST co-showrunner Greg Plageman and star Kevin Chapman (Fusco) shared their thoughts about what the future might hold for Fusco… Read more

Comments Off on ARROW: John Barrowman Weighs in on Malcolm’s Potential Role in Sara’s Resurrection

ARROW’s Malcolm was instrumental in Sara’s death in the show’s third season, and if John Barrowman (Malcolm) has a choice in the matter, he’ll also be key to her upcoming resurrection. (Sara — and her portrayer, Caity Lotz — are a key component to the ARROW/FLASH spinoff, LEGENDS OF TOMORROW.)

“We know she is alive — will be back — obviously, because of LEGENDS [OF TOMORROW],” Barrowman told reporters in the video below. “How’s she’s brought back to life, that will be the interesting part. I’d like to think Malcolm has a little bit of hand in bringing her back.”

Check out the video for more from Barrowman on Malcolm’s possible role in Sara’s new fate, plus Barrowman showcased his (amazing) replica of Ra’s’ ring….

Though LIMITLESS started off with a Bradley Cooper-led film (and Cooper’s character, Edward Mora will appear on the show, occasionally), the television series will explore the story of a different character: Jake McDorman’s Brian Finch.

And at Comic-Con, the producers of LIMITLESS didn’t shy away from the CBS drama’s potential comparison to the other, more traditional, superhero shows on television right now.

“It’s a very grounded way to do a superhero show,” executive producer Heather Kadin acknowledged in the video below.

“There’s no question you could say it’s similar to superhero shows, or you could say it is a superhero show,” Craig Sweeny added. “There is a genre MacGuffin as part of the show…and we’ll touch on those tropes…I think we’re essentially doing an origin story.”

Check out what else Sweeny, Kadin, and pilot director/executive producer Marc Webb had to say about the new show, including expanding the roles of McDorman’s on-screen parents (played fabulously in the pilot by Ron Rifkin and Blair Brown), and how the show is tackling drug use…

IZOMBIE’s Liv found herself in a rough spot when season 1 ended.

With many of those closest to her now in on Liv’s zombie secret (including Liv’s ex-fiance, Major, and Liv’s roommate/BFF Peyton), some of the weight has been taken off of her shoulders.

Of course, Liv’s family still doesn’t know the truth…and the season concluded with Liv being asked to donate blood to her wounded brother. But since Liv used the zombie cure on Blaine and a briefly-zombied Major, she’s fresh out of the cure and ideas of what to do.

At Comic-Con, Rose McIver (Liv) spoke with reporters about how Liv might react to newbies in season 2,  the “very untested cure,” if she’ll get to use her natural accent on the show, and more…

cbs-logoCBS has ordered BRAINDEAD — a new drama from THE GOOD WIFE creators, Robert and Michele King — straight to series for a summer 2016 debut.

And, really, the description of the show from CBS needs to be read to be believed: “BRAINDEAD follows a young fresh-faced Hill staffer getting her first job in Washington, D.C. and discovering two things: 1. The government has stopped working, and 2. alien spawn have come to earth and eaten the brains of a growing number of Congressmen and Hill staffers.”

Shannyn Sossamon is staying in the Fox family: the WAYWARD PINES vet will be a new SLEEPY HOLLOW series regular, a rep for the show has confirmed.

Sossamon will play Pandora, a “mysterious new presence” in Sleepy Hollow who seeks out Ichabod and Abbie. TVLine was first to report Sossamon’s casting.

This is the second new series regular SLEEPY HOLLOW has added in the past week. Sossamon joins fellow SLEEPY HOLLOW newbie Nikki Reed, who has been tapped to play Betsy Ross. They fill the voids left by Katia Winter’s Katrina, John Noble’s Henry, and Orlando Jones’ Irving.

Are you excited to see Sossamon on SLEEPY HOLLOW? And are you hoping her Pandora is somehow tied to the Pandora from the Greek myths?
