It’s that time of year when nearly every fall show has launched…but, sadly, CBS is holding PERSON OF INTEREST’s (short) fifth season until, well, TBD.

But as fans anxiously anticipate the show’s return, the PERSON OF INTEREST writers and actors are hard at work crafting the upcoming season.

“We really have to raise the bar,” PERSON OF INTEREST co-showrunner Greg Plageman said. “We have to build this thing to a crescendo…I feel really strongly we’re there. This show is on a trajectory it needed to be on to give our audience a satisfying season conclusion that could be fitting as a series conclusion as well.”

Comments Off on GRANDFATHERED: Fox Orders a Full First Season

Just a day after ordering a full season of THE GRINDER, Fox has extended a similar order to its fellow comedy freshman, GRANDFATHERED.

The order for nine more episodes of the John Stamos-led GRANDFATHERED will bring its season 1 count up to 22 installments.

“GRANDFATHERED had the Herculean task of self-starting on what is an incredibly competitive Tuesday night, and the series has proven itself up to the challenge,” said David Madden, President, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company, in a statement. “Since the very beginning we knew this show would be that rare commodity — a genuinely original family comedy. The remarkable John Stamos, Josh Peck, Paget Brewster, and the entire cast have sparkling chemistry, and the show’s creative team has delivered fantastic scripts that keep these great characters moving.  We know fans are going to love the surprises in store for the rest of the season.”

It’s Sunday Funday time on YOU’RE THE WORST!

In the show’s first season, the “Sunday Funday” installment was a turning point for the show. The episode featured the entire ensemble together for most of the adventure, which showcased how well they all worked together.

And with a catchy song, and an easily repeatable format, the FXX comedy is taking things up a notch in season 2: it’s a Sunday Funday Halloween.

“We weren’t trying to…revisit what we’re doing, but we liked it, we had a good time with it,” YOU’RE THE WORST creator Stephen Falk explained on the show’s set. “It’s a very easy structure in which to put a show, because then the normal storylines that are happening can be put on top of it…but then we looked and saw what time of year it would be. My fiancee, who is also our head makeup person, was asking us to do a Halloween episode. The two things just clicked…Halloween episodes are dumb, but the idea of watching them go through Sunday Funday again, in costume, was too much to resist.”

Comments Off on SUPERNATURAL: Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki Talk Filming ‘Baby’

Tonight’s new episode of SUPERNATURAL, “Baby,” pays tribute to one of the key components of the long-running series: Dean’s Impala, Baby.

The hour is a unique one, as it is told from the point of view — using that term loosely — of Baby. The forced parameters allows the series to showcase its creativity in new ways, and also lets viewers see an often unseen side of the Winchester brothers.

On the Vancouver set of SUPERNATURAL, series stars Jensen Ackles (Dean) and Jared Padelecki (Sam) spoke with reporters about filming the hour… Read more

THE FLASH Team on Francine’s Return, the Impact of Earth-2 Wells

Comments Off on THE FLASH Team on Francine’s Return, the Impact of Earth-2 Wells

THE FLASH has brought back a few potentially traumatizing people.

Francine West — Joe’s ex and Iris’ mother — two episodes ago, and the last hour revealed the truth of what went down: she was a drug addict, who endangered her daughter…and then abandoned her family. Joe admitted his lie to Iris, who handled it very, very well.

And then there’s Earth-2’s Harrison Wells, who popped up in Earth-1 at the very end of the last episode. Last season, Eobard Thawne (posing as Wells) mentored — and terrorized — Team Flash, before Eddie’s suicide wiped Thawne from existence.

But with Francine sticking around and Wells up to…something…there could be some challenging interactions ahead for the citizens of Central City.

On the show’s Vancouver set, Grant Gustin (Barry), Jesse L. Martin (Joe), Candice Patton (Iris), Danielle Panabaker (Caitlin), and Carlos Valdes (Cisco) spoke with reporters about what’s ahead… Read more

MINORITY REPORT is reuniting the precogs in tonight’s new episode, “Fiddler’s Neck.”

“We’re going to the island,” MINORITY REPORT creator Max Borenstein teased to reporters on the show’s Vancouver set. “We’re going to see how the other half lives, with Agatha. Thus far in the season, she’s been present only via that telepresence machine, and wagging her finger at Dash, and telling him not to do what he’s doing. But now, she’s going to be the one who needs help. They come there, and we learn a lot about how you can live in this society, off the grid…we’re going to be able to do dig into that strange family dynamic as the brothers come back there, and they bring Vega.”

Of course, Vega’s presence provides its own complications — Agatha’s visions of the siblings returning to the milk baths, with Vega observing it all, have not gone away. So when the duo finally meet, “there’s obviously a great deal of tension,” Borenstein allowed. Read more
