gmmr_logo_thumbAs of today (November 16th), I’ll be joining TV Guide Magazine/TV Insider as a full-time staff writer. Which, sadly, means my time at Give Me My Remote is coming to an end.

I don’t want this to be an overly emotional (or long) goodbye post, so I just want to say a few quick things… Read more

As the Winchester brothers are trying to figure out what’s going on with the Darkness/Amara on SUPERNATURAL, they aren’t the only ones with a vested interest in what’s going on — Castiel, Crowley, and Rowena all have their own takes on the situation. The characters on ARROW have been under the assumption that Ray perished months ago — but due to his (and his portrayer, Brandon Routh’s) part in the upcoming CW series, LEGENDS OF TOMORROW, viewers knew he had to be returning in some capacity.

At the end of the last episode, Felicity finally heard the entirety of Ray’s “final” message to her — which said he was actually alive — and in tonight’s hour the team sets out to save him.

So what’s in store? Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity) and Routh teased a bit of what’s to come… Read more

The people behind shows produced for streaming services find their product being increasingly being released in a binge format, there has been one unexpected relief: the writers can assume that people will be watching these episodes in order — and often in a short amount of time.

“As a writer and a writing staff, [we’re] thinking about what’s going to happen now that people are going to watch these shows back-to-back,” HAND OF GOD creator Ben Watkins explained. “And if they do it like I do, they may do two or three [episodes] at a time. I don’t usually do more than three at a time, but even with that, you get a certain momentum watching, and you don’t need as much explaining [with the storytelling].”

I spoke with Watkins about creating a show in a binge-watching culture, why he didn’t want to “hold the audience’s hand in terms of who was the protagonist,” and those season finale shockers (though spoilers will be clearly marked if you haven’t finished season 1…

With Darkness (and Amara) loose in the world, the Winchester brothers are in for quite the fight on SUPERNATURAL. But for the first time in seasons, the duo is actually working in tandem from the start.

“They’re essentially not inflicted with anything, they’re both intact; granted they’re scarred and bruised from a life of hunting and fighting,” Jensen Ackles (Dean) told reporters in the video below. “But they’re not fighting for each other anymore, they’re fighting a common target.”

“They’re fighting alongside each other,” Jared Padalecki (Sam) added.

“They’re fighting alongside each other, and it’s been a while since we’ve seen that,” Ackles continued. “I’m really excited about that dynamic, back together. That unit that’s back together, as opposed to previous seasons when Dean had the mark, and Sam was doing things behind his back…having those motivations over the past several seasons, and now having that gone…it’s two brothers in a car, driving down a highway, with a common goal and common purpose.”

ARROW is no stranger to crossing over with other DC/The CW shows — the series has served as the launching pad/frequent crossover partner for THE FLASH, and it’s now helping to set the stage for the upcoming LEGENDS OF TOMORROW — but in tonight’s episode, it’s doing something new: crossing over with DC/NBC’s departed series, CONSTANTINE.

John Constantine’s magical knowledge will also prove to be vital — with Sara alive and soulless, Constantine might be the only one who can help put her back together.

Tonight’s brand new episode of MINORITY REPORT is going into the pre-cogs’ backstory.

In “Honor Among Thieves,” the series explores, via flashbacks, the immediate aftermath of the siblings being removed from the milk bath…and how they adjusted to the new world.

And in the present day, Arthur and Vega need to work together on a case. So, naturally, some tension comes from that, as well.
