BOB’S BURGERS: Teddy decorates the restaurant to compete with another handyman on the street, but gets a little carried away in the “Nightmare on Ocean Avenue Street” episode of BOB’S BURGERS airing Sunday, October 21 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. It was a very Halloween-themed night, as the Fox shows had holiday-centric episodes. (The World Series is scheduled to air on Sunday, October 28.) Let’s talk about Sunday’s television…

THE SIMPSONS: The “Treehouse of Horror” segments, perhaps unfairly, have extra weight on them because of how good they’ve been in the past. I was iffy on the first two parts, but I did enjoy the third. That being said: when I haven’t enjoyed “ToH,” I’ve often enjoyed them more with distance/rewatching.

SUPERGIRL: Nia has quickly become one of my favorite characters on the show. Her relationship with Kara and James has been great; I’m intrigued to see how they handle her relationship with Brainy.

Agent Liberty…may be tough. I understand what the show is trying to do. But the real world is hard enough with this. But we’re just starting the arc, so let’s see what they do.

BOB’S BURGERS: This. episode. delighted. me. It was extra punny. The end song made me laugh out loud. The “nun of your business” costume was so perfect, I wanted to scream with pure joy. (Also the “Something to Talk About” joke was perfectly understated.) I guessed the candy thief pretty early on in the episode, but that wasn’t really the point of the episode. This was such a great installment of an always-great show.

CHARMED: When in doubt, don’t believe things are as simple as your dead mom talking to you via a Ouija board.

I’m really enjoying the sisters’ tentative relationship. There’s understandable tension and growing pains, but they’re the most compelling part of the series so far.

FAMILY GUY: Well, the idea was fun. A few of the jokes felt nastier than normal. Oh well.
