NBC Orders ZOEY’S EXTRAORDINARY PLAYLIST to Series

NBC ordered musical drama ZOEY’S EXTRAORDINARY PLAYLIST—starring Jane Levy as the title character—to series.

Per the network, “In this joyous and celebratory drama, Zoey Clarke is a whip-smart computer coder forging her way in San Francisco. After an unusual event she starts to hear the innermost wants and desires of the people around her through songs. At first, she questions her own sanity but soon realizes this unwanted curse may just be an incredibly wonderful gift.”

The series also stars Skylar Astin, Peter Gallagher, Alex Newell, John Clarence Stewart, Carmen Cusack, and Mary Steenburgen.

ZOEY’S EXTRAORDINARY PLAYLIST was created by Austin Winsberg; the pilot was directed by Richard Shepard. Paul Feig, Jessie Henderson, Kim Tannenbaum, Eric Tannenbaum, David Blackman and Daniel Inkeles will executive produce.

The drama joins legal series BLUFF CITY LAW, comedy SUNNYSIDE, and family drama COUNCIL OF DADS as the new additions (so far) to NBC’s upcoming lineup.
