It’s once again time for the most ridiculous/enjoyable guessing game on television: THE MASKED SINGER!

Per Fox, the 16 contestants have collectively received “69 Emmy Award nominations, 42 Grammy Award nominations, 22 Broadway shows, three New York Times Best Sellers and two have been named TIME magazine’s Most Influential People.”

Here’s what we know about the contestants so far (based on the sneak preview for season 2), with updates coming each episode…

Skeleton (Paul Shaffer):

  • “To my Skeleton crew, just know I feel like I’ve died and gone to heaven just being here.”
  • 4261 written on a gravestone.
  • Been around the block a few times, but far from dead.
  • So many doors have opened for him. Key to success is to always say yes.
  • Tired of playing second fiddle.
  • Holiday party behind one of the doors.
  • “Party on.”
  • Sometimes it feels like joint custody; second in command.
  • Has felt overshadowed since childhood.
  • “Instrumental” and “orchestrating.”
  • Inducted into the National Black Sports and Entertainment Hall of Fame.

Fox:

  • Fox will eat almost anything.
  • Superhero.
  • Celebrity conjured up the steampunk look and glowing eye.
  • Telling story to its child.
  • Done his best work at night.
  • Has many costumes.
  • From Dougie to Doubtfire.
  • On air superhero persona.
  • “Refused to be caged in” and “I’m crafty.”
  • Didn’t always fit in, and grew up in a rough patch of the woods.
  • Pretended to sound like other people.
  • Sketch of them holding an Emmy.
  • Felt like the applause wasn’t for the real them until now.
  • Imagined he’d be in a uniform growing up.
  • Fox playing piano in a field.
  • White men in bodysuits.
  • “Yes and” on a board. (An improv reference.)

Ice Cream (Ninja):

  • Spent time doing what they love the most. Mom and Dad were skeptical.
  • Super rich.
  • Over a billion reasons to be proud of their hard work.

Eagle (Dr. Drew):

  • Signature rock star outfit; sun medallion and red bandana were important.
  • Competitors will be saluting them.
  • “If you know an eagle’s body temperature, you may be hot on my tail.” (106 degrees Fahrenheit.)
  • A teacher.
  • He has soared to great heights as the face of his field.
  • Had a health scare and lost a parent.
  • Wants to prove he doesn’t just hang out with rock stars.
  • Can see things mile away that others don’t see.

Tree:

  • “Delicious” performances.
  • Costume inspired by 1950s pinup queens.
  • Number 30.
  • When the season is over, put in storage.
  • In exile; on a black and white TV.
  • Expert in delicious treats.
  • “Inspire you to think of me more than once a year.”
  • “I’m not a regular tree, I’m a cool tree.”
  • Her parents are a holiday rom-com.
  • She’s always been her parents’ favorite elf.

Penguin (Sherri Shepherd):

  • In her DNA for her to strive for her voice to be heard.
  • Always told she was not good enough.
  • Her career is on ice.
  • Signs, including not your secretary and give me the bird.

  • Learned the brightest star can be born out of the greatest tragedy.
  • Making people laugh was the ticket to the new Penguin.

Leopard:

  • This might be found on the deleted scenes.

  • She had to be squeaky clean kid.

  • Waiting for a “moment like this.”
  • Never went to prom, but she pretended to.
  • She can make herself at home in any nook or cranny.
  • “Cozy den in Memphis or a bungalow in Bel Air.”

Ladybug (Revealed as Kelly Osbourne):
