THE GOLDBERGS, CHICAGO FIRE, SEAL TEAM

“All Along the Watchtower: Part 2” — While on a mission abroad to protect U.S. ambassador Nicole Marsden (Khandi Alexander), Bravo Team must fight off enemy attackers trying to infiltrate their compound, on SEAL TEAM, Wednesday, Nov. 6 (9:01-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Let’s talk about Wednesday night’s TV!

THE GOLDBERGS: Murray had been warming up to his kids, especially this season, but this episode felt especially bittersweet. But when you think about how the real-life Goldberg patriarch passed away prematurely/prior to the series, it’s extra sad. I hope the series doesn’t end with tragedy.

CHICAGO MED: Charles got bitten by a vampire wannabe, and my goodness…that is a weird sentence to write.

Uh, April waited a long time to pull away from that almost-kiss. And is the show inching toward a Will/Elsa relationship?

THE MASKED SINGER: Losing Black Widow and Penguin was sad, but it also felt like they were two of the more obvious celebrities left. (I’d also place Wayne Brady/Fox as another that feels incredibly apparent.) I can’t figure out half of these people!

SCHOOLED: Well, those LION KING misshapen costumes are going to haunt my nightmares.

CHICAGO FIRE: I know Cruz just got engaged, but it sucks he got his invention stolen from him. I’m glad Firehouse 51 had his back.

There have been so many transitions and possible transitions this year. Severide leaving feels big, and I’m very curious how long it will last. But good for him for saving Herrmann’s job in the meantime.

Seems fitting the show is leaning back into the Casey/Brett thing right as Gabby is about to show back up

MODERN FAMILY: Um, Luke’s invention was genius?! If that isn’t a real thing, I hope the writers have someone working on it.

SEAL TEAM: I don’t think the show is ending any time soon—nor do I think that David Boreanaz is leaving—but it certainly feels like they’re opening the door to Jason reassessing his role on the team/slowing things down.

Felt awful for Clay, though, given his connection to Ambassador Marsden. She was successful—and would have almost certainly have made the same choice even if she knew what was coming—but ugh. These guys need a win. (Because, uh, how soon are things going to blow up between Ray and Sonny?)

CHICAGO P.D.: It feels like the show is being more conscious to give each character their own spotlight episode early in the season. Poor Upton.
