THE SIMPSONS, BATWOMAN, FAMILY GUY

FAMILY GUY: Peter and Lois decide to tell the kids the story of how they met and fell in love in the ‘90s in the “Peter & Lois’ Wedding” episode of FAMILY GUY airing Sunday, Nov. 10 (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. FAMILY GUY ™ and © 2019 TCFFC ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. CR: FOX

Let’s talk about Sunday night’s TV!

THE SIMPSONS: Disneyland, THE MASKED SINGER, and RIVERDALE references?! Extremely up my alley.

It’s always bittersweet when Marge gets a solo episode. She can be difficult at times when she’s a side character, but when you stop and think of what she goes through with her husband and family…yikes. Glad she got to be good at lumberjack games.

BATWOMAN: It’s good that Jacob and Kate explored the guilt they each felt about being so close to Beth and not realizing she was there, which led to her years of torture and eventual madness.

It does feel like this is leading to Mouse being the Big Bad of the season after Alice won’t turn on Kate, though.

BOB’S BURGERS: Sadly, the episode didn’t really draw me in as much as it normally does.

SUPERGIRL: It didn’t hit me until after I finished the episode that it was probably crafted that way to give Melissa Benoist time off to film “Crisis.” But how long will it take before Kara realizes that Lena is playing her?

Also, the Lex-Superman timeline is wonky, right?

FAMILY GUY: Holy ’90s references. There’s such a huge turnaround time for episodes, they couldn’t have known HOW big Warner Bros. would push FRIENDS’ 25th anniversary. But it ended up feeling timely. (Though, SIMPSONS-y in that any flashbacks to pre-kids time means it doesn’t really hold up canonically, now, since the series started in 1999 and Peter and Lois had been long been married.)

THE ROOKIE: In some ways, it’s shocking Jessica and Nolan lasted as long as they did. (Especially since they added Ali Larter to the show and Sarah Shahi is always working on other things.)

Also? Chen is awesome.
