SCHOOLED Gets a Full Season Order

SCHOOLED – “Be Like Mike” – It’s 1990-something, and since Lainey still hasn’t achieved rock ‘n’ roll greatness, she returns to William Penn Academy as the new music teacher. Lainey has a hard time adjusting to being an authority figure, but she realizes she might not be so bad at it when she discovers a kindred spirit in Principal Glascott’s niece, Felicia. Meanwhile, Coach Mellor struggles with Michael Jordan’s influence on modern-day basketball on the series premiere of “Schooled,” airing WEDNESDAY, JAN. 9 (8:31-9:00 p.m. EST), on The ABC Television Network. ABC is sticking with SCHOOLED: the network has ordered an additional nine episodes, bringing its season 2 order up to 22 episodes.
“We’re incredibly proud of SCHOOLED and are thrilled to order a full season of this sharp, fresh and funny comedy that has proven to be a consistently strong pairing with its GOLDBERGS lead-in,” said Karey Burke, president, ABC Entertainment, in a statement. “We’re so grateful to the show’s top-notch cast and crew, and we’re looking forward to bringing more hilarious stories about the teachers and students at William Penn Academy to our viewers.”
THE GOLDBERGS spinoff stars AJ Michalka, Tim Meadows, Bryan Callen, and Brett Dier.
