Let’s talk about Monday night’s TV!

THE VOICE: I really hate that they cut half of the contestants before the finale. If they’ve done their job correctly—and there is really only one artist who I’ll be livid if they make it through, so I think that counts as them doing things right—it would mean even going from 6 to 4 would be bad. But 8 to 4? Very deserving people are totally going to be cut.

Ricky Duran was the big surprise of the night for me. I don’t know if I could name any of his prior performances off the top of my head, but his “Let it Be” was great.

“Crisis on Infinite Earths”: I loved so much about this hour! Man, I missed LEGENDS OF TOMORROW, and (surprise return) Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell bantering was delightful. And Mick having to take care of a baby? Amazing.

Also, I was irrationally happy to see Brandon Routh don the Superman suit again. He was a great Superman and deserved more.

Tom Welling’s return into to a Super world was also great, though unexpected. While it makes sensed, in hindsight, I didn’t guess that his Clark wouldn’t have powers. But, man, him fighting Lex was hilarious.

The Oliver thing…well, it feels like a very, very bad idea.
