NBC has been promoting LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIM UNIT’s historic 21st season—which officially made it the longest-running primetime drama—with panels, a special, and big moves on-screen, but they aren’t looking at an end point to the long-running series any time soon.

“You’re talking to the wrong people,” NBC Chairman Paul Telegdy said with a laugh to reporters after his executive session. “That’s [series star] Mariska [Hargitay] and [executive producer] Dick [Wolf]‘s world. They’ll make that show as long as they [have] stories to tell.”

Telegdy noted his college-aged daughter is a fan of the show, and it continues to find viewers with a new generation. “It was here before me, it’ll be here long after me; I’m just a visitor, the current Chairman,” he said. “People love that show.”
