Let’s talk about Monday night’s TV!

AMERICA’S GOT TALENT: THE CHAMPIONS: I didn’t think the majority of acts were as bad as the judges did, but there were a number of lackluster performances. I wonder—and I don’t know if there is a real answer to this—how much of this was just off-nights vs. repeating the CHAMP format too soon after the first go-round.

PRODIGAL SON: This. Episode. Was. Messed. Up.

Honestly, I thought I was prepared for the mental torture of Malcolm vs. the Junkyard Killer. And that was intense, depressing, and full of a lot of questions/answers. I did not take into account just how far Malcolm would go to get himself free. And that THE SHINING homage with Ainsley and Jessica really was spot-on. Um, and Martin and Gil’s reunion was as deliciously tense and messed up as promised; I, too, have questions about the relationship between Jessica and Gil, Martin.

I’m so glad this show is back.
