ABC Reveals the Fate of BODY OF PROOF, PRIVATE PRACTICE & APT 23

Shows renewed. Shows canceled. New shows picked up. Once again we’re throwing some good news and bad news your way.

If you’re a fan of those West Coast based doctors of PRIVATE PRACTICE then today’s a good day, because ABC has just announced that the show will be returning for a sixth season. Declining ratings stemming from its move from Thursday to Tuesday had the show on the bubble, but the alphabet network decided to give it another shot.

PRIVATE PRACTICE creator, Shonda Rhimes, had a double punch of luck today as her new Washington-political thriller SCANDAL, starring Kerry Washington, also got the nod for next year.

The Dana Delany fronted BODY OF PROOF (which to be honest, I forgot was on the air) was also renewed for another season.

If you’re a ‘bitch’ then ABC has thrown a mixed bad your way.

THE B**** IN APARTMENT 23 will be back for a second season (yay, more of The Beek) but unfortunately, as we already reported, the good Christian B****** of GCB won’t be back next year.

ABC has already announced the renewals of the following scripted series: HAPPY ENDINGS, SUBURGATORY, REVEVNGE MODERN FAMILY, ONCE UPON A TIME, GREY’S ANATOMY, CASTLE and THE MIDDLE.

How are we feeling about the latest pickups and cancellations?

Save the drama for Wilmer Valderama because the wait is over! HAPPY ENDINGS will be back on ABC for a full 22 episode season. You don’t even know how happy this makes me.

If you haven’t had the chance to watch HAPPY ENDINGS use this summer to get caught up on one of TV’s best comedies. I promise you won’t be disappointed. It’s one of the television highlights of my week.

In honor of this fantastic news, we’re celebrating with a .gif party!

NBC Renews More Comedies Including PARKS & REC and UP ALL NIGHT!

At approximately 10:00pm last night I woke up from a dream that felt so real that it had to be premonition. Me, Drake and the T-Mobile girl were play baccarat on a private jet. The head of NBC walks up to me and he says, “Kath, tomorrow afternoon, I’m renewing Parks & Rec.” Then Blue Ivy Carter high-fived me and gave me $40 million dollars. It was all so real.

And real it is. PARKS & REC will be back on NBC next season and according to Vulture sources, the show has been picked up for a full 22 season. Can I get an ‘Amen!’ up in here?!

On the heels of the PARKS & REC pick-up, NBC will also be announcing the return of UP ALL NIGHT (looks like it’s going to be a good night in the Poehler/Arnett homestead) as well as WHITNEY (listen, they are bringing PARKS & REC and COMMUNITY back, I’m not going to give them any BS about WHITNEY.)

Join me in a happy dance, will you?

THE GLEE PROJECT Season 2 – ‘Edge of Glory’ Music Video

In just a few weeks we’re going to be saying goodbye to the McKinley High Seniors.  With Rachel, Finn, Kurt, Santana, Quinn, Mercedes and Puck gone from the choir room, there are going to be quite a few empty seats.  Will one of those seats be taken by the winner of season 2 of THE GLEE PROJECT? Perhaps.

We do know that the winner of THE GLEE PROJECT is guaranteed a multi-episode arc on the show, but there’s no promise that the victor will be a McKinley High kid. GLEE is re-launching itself next season as it follows some of its graduating seniors in their post-high school adventure so maybe the winner of the show will be Kurt’s new NYADA roommate or a new rival to Santana wherever she may land. Endless possibilities.

But what we do know is that at least one of the kids in the video below will be on GLEE next season in some capacity. Heck, all of them could be on the show. With four winners last year, I think anything is possible.

Check out the first official video from THE GLEE PROJECT Season 2 cast and let us know who YOU think would be the right fit for GLEE. (And make sure you watch all the way to the end for a cameo from the single best thing about THE GLEE PROJECT…Zach Woodlee!)

THE GLEE PROJECT premieres on June 5th at 10/9c on Oxygen.

No job is more stressful, dangerous or exhilarating than those of the Firefighters, Rescue Squad and Paramedics of Chicago Firehouse 51. These are America’s everyday heroes — the courageous men and women who forge headfirst into danger when everyone else is running the other way. But the enormous responsibilities of the job also take a personal toll. Big reputations and hefty egos, coupled with the pressure to perform and make split-second decisions, are bound to put squad members at odds.

1600 PENN on NBC – First Look

As our favorite shows are winding down for the summer (or forever) it’s time to talk about the new shows that will be coming your way when the TV season returns to full swing. Check out these new shows from NBC. Will you be watching?

About the Show…
The Gilchrists are just the average American family dealing with all the everyday issues – like a grown kid who’s forced to move back home, children who are smarter than their teachers and a stepmom (Jenna Elfman, “Dharma and Greg”) desperately trying to win over the kids. They’re loving, fun and a little crazy. In other words, just like everybody else. With one exception: they live in a very special house. The White House!

Whether it’s entertaining foreign dignitaries, sneaking away for a night out, dealing with middle school crushes or putting out fires – figuratively and sometimes literally – there’s never a dull moment in the Gilchrist White House. For example, the First Son (Josh Gad, star of Broadway sensation “The Book of Mormon”) is one of the administration’s biggest liabilities, but also the glue that holds this family together. The President (Bill Pullman, “Independence Day,” “While You Were Sleeping”) knows too well that the only thing harder than being Head of State is being head of the family. Also starring are Martha MacIsaac (“Superbad”), Andre Holland (“Friends with Benefits”), Amara Miller (“The Descendants”) and Benjamin Stockham (“Sons of Tucson”).

“Modern Family” meets “The West Wing” in this election-year comedy from Emmy-winning executive producer/director Jason Winer (“Modern Family”). The executive producers are Winer, Gad and Jon Lovett (former White House speechwriter). Winer also directed the pilot. “1600 Penn” is produced by 20th Century Fox.

Fox Announces New Summer Celeb Dating Show – THE CHOICE

Picture it. Four celebrities. Sitting in high back rotating chairs. Their backs turned and unable to see the contestant on the stage. The decision to hit a button and turn their chair around will be based solely on what they hear from the person on the stage. If one on more of the celebrities turns their chair, the contestant on stage has the ultimate say as to which celebrity she chooses to go with.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is The Voice The Choice.

I kid you not.

Tonight Fox announced their newest reality show, THE CHOICE. This six-episode dating reality show helps four of the world’s “most eligible bachelors” on their quest to find true love (or as we like to call it, fame whoring).
