Britney Spears a Complete Disaster on MTV VMAs

September 9, 2007 by

OH. MY. GOD. Britney Spears may never come back from this. I just watched her MUCH-hyped opening number of tonight’s MTV VMAs, and the girl has lost it. Yes, of course she’s lost her mind (we knew this when she married her first husband), but sadly Britney has lost the much needed IT that made her the mega-star she once was (back before cheating on Timberlake, marrying K-Fed, the babies, the booze…well you know the story.)

Where to being? Well, first off, she looked nervous as all hell. Nervous like I’ve never seen somebody of her experience and caliber look ever before. Her eyes showed nothing but fear from the opening notes of the song. Once known for her fierce dancing, Britney struggled through her dance routine looking like she was going to forget the choreography at any moment. Her eyes darted around to her backup dancers for help like a little girl in her first dance recital who was afraid she was going to forget all the steps. She looked absolutely lost on the stage. And even in the parts where she was more confident in the choreography, she gave nothing to the dance moves. Britney may have never had the best voice (can she even sing?), but she always knew how to work the dance floor as a distraction, and now it seems that she’s also lost that.

You know the other thing Britney forgot? How to lip synch to her own music. Again, Brit always had a talent for the lip synching, but tonight she was all over the place. Missing words, coming in late to the chorus. What a disaster.

I was talking with some friends earlier in the week about her performance tonight, and I said that she was too much of a mess to stage a comeback at this point in time. I honestly felt that a bad performance now could have a detrimental effect on Britney really restarting her career – and I fear that I’m right. Britney has alway been nothing if not a performer, and if she can’t pull it together on one of the most important nights of her entire career I think she may be done. Maybe she shouldn’t have stayed out partying until 3am this morning and maybe rehearsed a bit (or a lot) more. I don’t know what I was expecting, but I wasn’t expecting what I just saw. I think was her last shot and she blew it. Britney – best of luck to you…may I some day have to eat my words.

And yeah, I didn’t really comment on the outfit, because it was just so wrong.

Did you catch Britney’s performance on the VMAs? What did you think about it?

It was terrible… she looked exhausted before she even started “dancing” – if you can call that barely-moving that she did, dancing.

  2. Amy on September 9th, 2007 9:41 pm

Agree with you 100%. Almost my exact words…check my site. I don’t think she has a chance for a comeback now.

  3. Erin on September 9th, 2007 9:43 pm

Holy crap, I couldn’t agree with you more. Although she looked absolutely beautiful, every moment seemed like a struggle. The look of fear and concentration on her face was painful to watch. There was no fire, no confidence, no (for lack of a better term) sass, it took everything she had just to remember the dance moves. The lip syncing was off, even the worst dancer outshone her. Just sad, sad, sad.

  4. karen on September 9th, 2007 9:43 pm

She looked so scared! Like she was afraid she was going to fall off the stage. (That might have actually improved the “performance”). Those moves were horrible – not sharp at all. I hate to agree with Kanye – he should have opened the show. That was painful to watch. One good thing though – the format of this year’s show is so awful, that Britney’s performance won’t stand out in my memory as much as it would have in the original format.

  5. Erin on September 9th, 2007 9:48 pm

Holy crap, I couldn’t agree with you more. She looked beautiful, although I’m sure there will be some crazies who say she looked fat. However, every moment seemed like a struggle. The look of fear and concentration on her face was painful to watch. There was no fire, no confidence, no (for lack of a better term) sass. It took everything she had just to remember the dance moves. The lip syncing was off, even the worst dancer outshone her. Just sad, sad, sad.

  6. kat on September 9th, 2007 9:48 pm

I was actually embarrassed for her. I was hoping, for her sake, that she would be able to pull this off, but that didn’t seem to happen. She looked like she had never been on stage before and concentrated more on getting the dance moves and forgot to put anything else (like emotion or getting her “words”) into it.

  7. Melanie on September 9th, 2007 9:49 pm

Thanks for the Britney clip. Yup, she was awful. It was a lazy performance and the song was not good. I didn’t want to watch the VMA’s but was curious about the trainwreck that Britney would surely be involved in.

  8. Seattle Slim on September 9th, 2007 9:53 pm

WOW!!! I thought she would’ve pulled it off but then again! NOT! That b*tch looked stoned shitless

  9. Fat Elvis on September 9th, 2007 9:53 pm

Fat Elvis is back and his name is Britney! She’s so washed up. And I do not feel bad for her in the least. She brought this on herself and is going to fall hard.

  10. Claudia on September 9th, 2007 9:54 pm

WOW that was horrible – I completely agree with you. It was all so very WRONG!

  11. Ducky on September 9th, 2007 9:55 pm

This is the best thing ever! This totally made my weekend.

    hummm…i kinda feel bad 4 her…

  14. Tessa on September 9th, 2007 10:03 pm

Goodness Sakes that was like watching a train wreck, it was so awful but at the same time I couldn’t look away because I wanted to see how bad it got…..and it was pretty bad. You could tell this definetly wasn’t a “live” performance her lip synching was way off….and from what I could tell there were times she didn’t even try to lip synch. I don’t know why her handlers would let her go through with this….of course from the other things that she’s done recently they either are non existent or just can’t control her. I feel kinda bad for her….but yet not at the same time. She really needs to get some sort of help.

  15. Scott on September 9th, 2007 10:04 pm

I really don’t see what was so bad?! What do you expect from a generic ex-pop-star’s comeback on a large (and awful) awards show? Even someone who has been in the spotlight for so long (for ups and downs) being away from a live performance for so long the jitters will show. Regardless, she can still make a comeback because mainstream America will feast on the coverage she’ll get from whatever she does.

    Listen to Feist instead.

  16. CrazyGringa on September 9th, 2007 10:10 pm

Dis they take the video off? I can’t see it. Aww, and I wanted a good laugh tonight.

  17. Tunalicious27 on September 9th, 2007 10:12 pm

    She looked seriously medicated.

Where was the fancy Cris Angel mirror work? They sure did a lot of ‘rehearsing’ together to not include it.

  18. Sara on September 9th, 2007 10:13 pm

What a craptacular performance. I think what made it look even worse is comparing it to every other live performance other artists are giving during the show. Chris Brown, ftw!!

  19. Jacki on September 9th, 2007 10:17 pm

Darn, the video isn’t working. I’ll have to catch it on one of the 34098367 re-runs MTV will undoubtedly play.

  20. CrazyGringa on September 9th, 2007 10:24 pm

Thanks for posting another video! And yeah, can you say amateur? Her career is done.

  21. kilwiggle7 on September 9th, 2007 10:28 pm

That was horrible. I was kind of hoping that she’d pull off this great big awesome show… the whole thing did nothing for promoting her new album or that god awful song. She looked like a deer in the headlights and her moves didn’t hit as hard as they should have. 🙁

She did not look fat in that outfit, however, having two children does irreversible things to the body which no amount of liposuction would help, and that outfit was completely tailored to her body to make it look the best.

I’m really disappointed in the whole showing. I hope she realizes that she should go and take great care of her kids, because that’s all she has left since her music career is bottoming out before her eyes.

  22. Kristi on September 9th, 2007 10:29 pm

Why do I keep watching this? 🙁

I’m not sure if anyone has mentioned this to MTV but.. i’m just gonna come out and say it – there is other music in the world besides rap and R&B ::gasps:: I know! It’s shocking!

and I don’t like Kanye or the Foo Fighters so i’m pretty much screwed either way since they perform every ten seconds.

  23. shay on September 9th, 2007 10:32 pm

I feel bad for her. she looked really nervous and prolly was, but can you blame her…when was the last time she was out on stage and plus all the stuff shes going through. YOU probably wouldnt do much better!!

  24. Give Me My Remote on September 9th, 2007 10:38 pm

I wouldn’t do a better job, but I’m not a professional entertainer like Britney is. Yes, I can blame her. One way to overcome your nerves is to practice, practice, practice. You can’t party all week, and stay out until 3am the night before the VMA and perform like that and not expect to be criticized.

  25. kilwiggle7 on September 9th, 2007 10:46 pm

exactly GMMR… just because the VMAs are held in Vegas doesn’t mean you have to party like a rock star til all hours of the morning and shop til you drop instead of practicing, especially since you know that EVERYONE is watching you to see you wreck, you should probably try and prove them wrong, unfortunately, it just proved all the nay-sayers right, and it sucks.

  26. Marc on September 9th, 2007 10:55 pm

The entire show has been a complete disaster. Only good things: Timberlake calling MTV out about playing more videos and Fall Out Boy giving a shout out to all those who are trying to pick up music and enjoy it like you should. Britney’s “performance” is the perfect highlight to this horrible VMA.

  27. sabrina on September 9th, 2007 11:00 pm

I only caught 5 seconds of it and I just couldn’t keep watching. I’ve never seen such bad lip synching in my life. Normally when artist lip synch they actually tried but this…this was just sad. I feel so bad for her. Britney needs to get her act straight before she performs live again.

  28. CrazyGringa on September 9th, 2007 11:05 pm

Totally agree with GMMR, we are not getting paid to do that for a living. Believe me, if I was getting paid millions to be performing, you better believe I would be practicing so I don’t embarrass my butt in front of millions.

I feel the same way about basketball players. You are getting paid millions, the least you could do is hit your free-throws.

  29. Jen on September 9th, 2007 11:05 pm

While I think that Britney did most of this to herself…I’m plenty pissed at MTV for even allowing it to happen. Wouldn’t you think someone would step in and stop this. Britney is a staple for MTV and it would be to their best interest to have her do the best possible. Especially opening the show. Shame on you MTV.

  30. Give Me My Remote on September 9th, 2007 11:14 pm

MTV isn’t to blame. BRITNEY IS TO BLAME!! MTV doesn’t need Britney Spears. She needs them…hell, at this point, she need anyone.

  31. Jen on September 9th, 2007 11:21 pm

My argument is that if MTV doesn’t need Britney, why was she the focus of THEIR promos?

  32. Give Me My Remote on September 9th, 2007 11:24 pm

Because do you know how many people would tune in just to see if she were to tank. They had nothing to lost by booking her. But if she were to go away tomorrow and never be heard from again (which isn’t the worst idea ever) MTV wouldn’t hurt a bit.

  33. kilwiggle7 on September 9th, 2007 11:28 pm

I really want to see what the half hour breakdowns of the ratings were… MTV is making enough money off of Timberlake, Rhianna, etc… they don’t need Britney anymore.

  34. Jen on September 9th, 2007 11:32 pm

I have nothing against Britney. And really, I’m still rooting for her. I have no idea what it’s like to be in her shoes and gone through the things (and been handled by the people) that she has. I just feel bad for her. But I guess this is where we’ll have to agree to disagree. 🙂

  35. Shari on September 9th, 2007 11:36 pm

Jacki – before the rerun of the VMAs that comes on immediately following the show – there is no more reruns. They specifically said this year they would only air the show once.

As for Britney – I am so sad for her. Her lack of confidence and preparation was shocking. Compared to Chris Brown and Justin/Timberland’s performances … well… nuff said.

  36. Allison on September 9th, 2007 11:39 pm

I bet that we start hearing the excuses for this worthless performance first thing tomorrow morning. I can’t even imagine what was going through the minds of the people in the audience. It would have been hard for me to keep my mouth shut! It was beyond horrible.

  37. Mannie on September 9th, 2007 11:40 pm

I wonder if the dancer rubbing her up will be hubby #3. What kind of clubs is she hanging out in that she has pole dancers at the MTV awards show? The guys at the end didn’t know whether to clap or dig out their wallets. The dance she did 75% of the whole performance looked like she was about to ride a horse. Plus she could have had a little bit of facial expressions to bring her feelings to the show. I actually think I could have done better, especially if I was a professional. I’ve seen kids do better. I also think if they just had her dancers dancing to the song and she stayed home, the thing would have been 150% better. I didn’t think she looked fat, but I did think she forgot to put on her outfit before she came out on stage. To say something positive, at least the hair and makeup people did the job like they were supposed to do.

  38. Megimme on September 9th, 2007 11:43 pm

I don’t know why she is trying to have a comeback. With all her money she could just retire somewhere nice with her kids and live a normal (very pampered) life. Give it up, girl. You had a good long run. Don’t mess up our good memories of you anymore. PLEASE!!!

  39. Jen on September 10th, 2007 12:04 am

I couldn’t believe how bad she was… oh wait I could. She had no energy at all!!! Even though she has put herself through this I feel bad for her.

  40. Lindsey on September 10th, 2007 12:09 am

Ugh… Brit totally phoned it in. We all waited for that? Literally, “Don’t call it a comeback”.

  41. Tanya on September 10th, 2007 12:47 am

She was obviously cracked out of her mind. For all the hype surrounding the performance you would think that she might have maybe rehearsed. What happened to the Chris Angel stuff that has been all over the media. Britney didn’t need a magician. She made her own career and comeback disappear all by her self!

  42. sarah on September 10th, 2007 1:53 am

    shes hott i want her

  43. mg714 on September 10th, 2007 1:54 am

I didn’t see this live but from seeing the video it looks more just boring for the opening number of the VMAs than a complete disaster (though I agree it was still a bad performance). It sounds like the whole show was pretty lackluster, though. I’m not sorry I missed it now! I do feel bad for Brit b/c even though I’ve never been a fan of hers I would have liked to have see her make a comeback. Maybe she will at some point, but I agree that she probably wasn’t ready for such a big performance yet.

  44. Rick on September 10th, 2007 2:09 am

She looked hot but moved like an EX 40yr old out of shape dancer. It’s apparent that she has completely lost her confidence. I see what some of you are saying about her performance being lazy but she just looked plain lost to me. You’d think the shows producers or directory wouldn’t allow her to perform if she was that bad in practice! She was either on the verge of a panic attack or on drugs. I think she should have waited another year or two before trying a comeback. This is just sad. I do believe she will get another chance in the future, after all she still is Britney and has sold over 76 million albums.

  45. nod on September 10th, 2007 2:12 am

She was hopping around the stage like the cute little Petunia Pig she is.
The song was good though- Gimme More Pizza.

  46. Dick on September 10th, 2007 2:15 am

Britney dancing in a Bra, Panties and Pantyhose! Most of us hounds could care less if she could sing or dance. I just enjoyed watching.

  47. may on September 10th, 2007 3:45 am

she looked like one of those actors that go on “so you think you can dance” with no dancing experience. c’mon britney, you should have at least TRIED to prove everyone wrong.

  48. CFO (not my initials) on September 10th, 2007 4:20 am

    Poor Brit!
I think you looked awesome for someone with two kids.
However, that was weird and awkward to watch. I agree with Mannie (number 37) that there was much confusion over whether or not that was a dance routine or a strip show (with no visible stripping).
    Bizarre.
Well, Brit, we had a good run, eh? Please don’t embarrass your kids any more. Retire quietly and take up knitting or something.

  49. Elizabeth on September 10th, 2007 4:45 am

Britney doesn’t have any excuses. Madonna is a perfect example of an older performer who looks years younger, has taken perfect care of herself, and managed her career, all while having children. It can be done. Britney looked like she was on drugs to me. She didn’t look nervous! She looked like she didn’t care about her performance, hadn’t practiced for it, and really didn’t give a s*** about her fans, or herself, and was high as a kite. Someone had better put this girl into rehab or on a suicide watch, because she is going down fast. I would love for Britney to have a real comeback, and to do it right. But she has to be ready, and she isn’t. She was on drugs. That was the most pathetic performance I have never seen. Again, witness the great Madonna, and how she has kept her body in shape and her moves sharp after all these years. She’s never shown up by her dancers. Britney, I don’t feel sorry for you at all. Get your ACT TOGETHER. For Britney, it’s do-or-die-time, literally. She either quits the drugs or she dies.

  50. Shaun on September 10th, 2007 4:47 am

To be honest I found this way more entertaining than any of her previous performances. For all the wrong reasons of course. I’m probably not a very nice person.
    Britney: “Where am I?”
Her manager: “Just get up on stage, you’ll figure it out as you go, just take these pills first.”
    Britney: “I’m Britney bitch!”

  51. greta on September 10th, 2007 8:02 am

Guys for god sake! Give her a break! She is sick obviously…but she is been a hit for a long time and at a very young age!! When u were going to high school she was dancing in front of thousands of people!! Could u have done that at 18? …I want to see that! Yes she does make money…but obviously it’s not everything in life. Anyway she is been a good target for all our bad feelings about ourselfs for months…and somebody sure made money out of that! Anyway…hope she gets better! If she could pull it off 10 years ago she will again..just hard times.good luck brit!!

  52. Leo on September 10th, 2007 8:29 am

My monther was open the whole time not in “aww” but in “oh my God kill me now” that was horrible I have seen car crashes more entertaining then that. When she was “done” I want to take my brother’s gun and shoot myself but Sara saved my from that when she called here kids the cuttiest mistake ever. And to the people defending Britney give it up it ant doing any good so save your words. She sucks, ganna lose her kids, never ganna come back form this she should just reitre with what ever money she has left cause nobody wants her around any more exseped for K Fed he wants her money. Ta ta

  53. Mannie on September 10th, 2007 8:55 am

Greta – there are many people who are a hit for a long time and end up loosing it all. Britney isn’t 18 anymore, she’s 25 which is another reason she should have done better. She’s been performing for 17 years. There is no excuse. If I had been doing something for that long, I definitely wouldn’t look like an amateur. Most of the people commenting aren’t saying that she wasn’t ONCE great, we’re just saying she needs to give it up and live in the background for a little while if she wants a comeback. I’d say she probably needs to stay out of the spotlight until her kids are old enough to start school. Also, I don’t have bad feelings about myself and I don’t think anyone else saying what a poor job she did last night has bad feelings about themselves either.

  54. Christine on September 10th, 2007 9:05 am

If you think about it, maybe she *was* nervous because she wasn’t sure how the crowd would accept her. Would they boo? Maybe. Also, if you look at the video, her boots were extremely high, rendering her unable to dance around as much. It was also portraying her to look sexy and no one else was dancing around as much as your favorite “One More Time” video. Give her a break. If I looked like that after having 2 kids, I’d just stand there, too. Naked. Maybe she didn’t want her wig to fall off. That’s the last thing she needed.

(“They want more? Well, I’ll give them more!”) “Gimme More” is pretty much a mockery at how much attention the public gives celebrities. “Oh snap, Britney farted! Click the link to hear it!” She’s young and has gone through a lot. More than half the people in their 20s haven’t done nearly as much as she has. People in their 20s are even still developing their brain’s frontal lobe, for crying out loud. I’m 27 (her age) and wouldn’t begin to know how to handle the public, a sorry ass husband, not being able to do anything ‘normal’ without people trying to take a picture of it. Look at how much is focused on Paris and she’s only famous because she was in a porno. You don’t hear about any other hotel mogul’s children. Give it a rest, let her be and go click the link on why Mary Kate or Posh won’t smile. Who? Cares!

  55. Give Me My Remote on September 10th, 2007 9:18 am

But Christine, if her boots were high or she felt uncomfortable in her outfit then why did she wear them? Artists have a choice when it comes to that – definitely Britney Spears.

If Britney wanted a break from the paparazzi she could do something to help her situation. I’m not saying it would be immediate, but if she were to leave LA and get away the paparazzi, over time, would become more manageable. She goes out to the hottest clubs all the time – she knows the razi will be there.

She’s no 18, she’s 25. I have friends that had two young children when they were 25 and their focus was on their children and NOT going out all the time. They were lucky to go out once a month because your life HAS to change when you have kids.

You might not hear about other hotel mogul’s children because they don’t seek out the spotlight like Paris Hilton does.

  56. suzanne on September 10th, 2007 9:31 am

I agree with greta. Why are you roasting that poor girl who is obviously un well. She is a product of our society. Encourage don’t feast on her carcus. My goodness you were so bored you wanted to shoot yourself then honey I’m worried for you!! And the other person commenting on how you would have done have you done it did youever do it?? No so go do it and then you can talk about how and what you have done instead and advise her till then you cannot even compare yourself to britney. I pray that britney reconcile with her family and that she has some healing to move onto whatever it is she will do next inlife. My heart and positive thoughts go out to her in this obviously difficult time.

  57. Christine on September 10th, 2007 9:50 am

I see your point about the boots, but as far as a break from the paparazzi, I’m not so sure I could agree. Those guys are savages. A certain site that is adverti’z’ed on here had Andy Dick chasing them down some random street. They’re savages trying to get something, anything on film. I guess, to a certain extent people like the attention. Someone else commented that she’s sick, which is highly possible. Why can’t her mother step in and say something. Then again, we’ve all had moments where we figured mom didn’t know best. She is a mother and should portray herself a little more as such. You’re right, she should take a time-out, but something tells me they wouldn’t let her…so…while we don’t agree with it…her choice is to give ’em more.

  58. Patty on September 10th, 2007 10:39 am

I can’ t feel sorry for someone who is as rich as God and refuses to listen to anyone but herself. I find it hard to believe that NOBODY around her has told her to get out of LA and find a cave to raise her children in. It’s not like she has to move to Idaho or anything. Come to Texas! There are quite a few pap favorites here and you never hear anything about them unless they are courting the paps. I have seen a few around town, walking like normal people – no paps anywhere. Brit is obviously going through a crisis but she needs to start thinking of her children.

  59. Mannie on September 10th, 2007 11:30 am

In response to “And the other person commenting on how you would have done have you done it did youever do it?? No so go do it and then you can talk about how and what you have done instead and advise her till then you cannot even compare yourself to britney.”

Alright, I won’t compare myself to Britney (plus that wasn’t really what my point was), but I will give you examples of people who had public meltdowns and have gone down the path Britney has gone. Some (very few) have recovered, but most can not comeback. And please don’t start with how Britney started younger. That fight is pointless. These people were just as big. There was Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Charlie Sheen and Robert Downey Jr.

Hopefully Britney will wake up and have a comeback, but I think she needs to take some time off before she tries. I think her mom needs to take the path of Martin Sheen later this year when Britney decides to go back into rehab and checks herself out early and save her life. Give her some tough love.

  60. SuzyQ on September 10th, 2007 12:04 pm

GRETA YOU ARE SOOOOOOOOOO RIGHT. You guys who say you would have this you would have that BUT YOU HAVE NOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!….go do it and then you can talk till you have hush…25 is a kid , you ! become a woman infront of the world. I hope she reunites with her mother somehow… poor brit…love goes out to you mama…

MTV won’t air the VMAs again, but you can watch the show online.

Britney is done. She looked stoned, not nervous. I really wished she could have made a comeback, but I doubt her career will recover from that.

  62. Cayce80 on September 10th, 2007 7:36 pm

She just seems really off balance; like it’s hard for her to concentrate and get her bearings straight. It’s really sad, actually. I’ve never been a huge fan, but I really feel pity for her and Lindsay Lohan and all the young celebs these days having drug problems and all that. I think they’re surrounded by ‘yes’ men/women who enable them to continue these kinds of behaviors. If they had real friends, they wouldn’t be in these situations. It’s a shame. I hope she can get her act together; for herself and for her children.

Oh Britney, I don’t know why you wen’t more prepared. I think even people who never liked your music wanted you to suceed. I wanted you too just to see that smirk on Paris’ face wiped off. I know you must be embarrassed, but just make this a learning experience. Step back out of the spotlight for now, concentrate on your beautiful boys, make your relationship with your mom work ( Trust me on this, you only have one mom), work on getting healty again, emotionally and physically, give back … find a cause that you are passioniate about, then, if you really want your career, in a couple of years, make us all proud. You can do it. Oh, and another thing, you see just how many of your “friends” stuck by you after this. Do yourself a favor, and drop them. They are just fame and money hungry groupies.

Horrible, i feel bad for the girl, that was not a comeback. I think she should forget about making a comeback and make a career change. She’s a mother of two already and she should put more focus on that than on making a COMBACK

I personally wish people would just leave Britney alone. She looks F****** awesome and it was not nearly as horrible as everyone keeps saying. I admit she looked very nervous, but with everything she has been through lately, who blames the girl. All I got to say is GO BRITNEY, you still got it!!!!!!

Her performance did not surprised me at all. Britney Spears has been a fraud all along. The woman has no talent, can she sing? NO! She has been an over-paid stripper who lipsyncs to pre-recorded computerized music. She was once a pretty, interesting ‘performer’, hell, I even liked her “Oops I Did It Again” video, she was cute, but does she have REAL talent? …again, NO! I am not a fan of her “music”, because I only pay for artists that can SING LIVE! and possess real talent. She needs to commit herself to a sanitarium, sober up and enjoy her money, and be a mother.

    Listen guys,
This is a child, who ended up having children, success, money and extreme privilige too young. Her own mother and father couldn’t guide her. It seems to me that they were too busy cashing in on their daughters’ (pleural) success to bother with setting limits and helping them adjust to lives of excess and frivolous wealth. Britney isn’t alone. Her baby sister is following in her footsteps…she’s pregnant and 16. Were were Mom and Dad?! I know young women have great difficulty building up self-esteem and confidence growing up. I can’t image having all these issue while also juggling motherhood, the paparazzi and that fake Hollywood ideal of perfection.
Britney, get out. Go to a sanctuary outside of Hollywood. You do not have to “fix” yourself. Just start listening to your own inner voice. The one that you’re ignoring…the one that keeps trying to tell you that you are ok just the way you are. Stop listening to the hype and the hate. Go get clean and well, for your sake and for those beautiful little boys who will need you the rest of their lives. I wish you peace and wellness. Franny

Just saw the BS alert page on Britney’s web site. It seems that the story about Jason proposing in Hawaii was completely fabricated.
