Grey’s Anatomy/Private Practice Sneak Peek

May 3, 2007 by

I’m getting pretty excited for tonight’s 2-hour GREY’S ANATOMY. In addition to keeping tabs on the Seattle Grace regulars we get to meet Addison’s new playmates as we get our first look at the Grey’s Anatomy spin-off PRIVATE PRACTICE. Check out a scene from tonight’s show. Here Addison meets up with some old friends (Merrin Dungey & Taye Diggs) who may not be thrilled to see her.

Thanks to Mindy for the video

Hmm. Interesting that 3 of the characters (from what I know so far) were on ABC shows that were cancelled or ended. Tim Daly, The Nine, Taye Diggs, DayBreak, and Merrin Dungey, Alias. I guess the 3rd time is the charm for Daly – Eyes and The Nine. I just always wondered if that is his voice at the beginning of Lost, why didn’t they write a character in there for him?
I don’t know if this is correct; however, from the commercial, the practice is supposed to be in Los Angeles? I don’t know why they would have it so far away from the Grey’s Seattle location. You would think that they would still have it in Seattle or somewhere closer, so that the Grey’s characters could come and visit while the show gets going. And if it is cancelled, well, Addison won’t have to relocate back to Seattle.
I thought that they also said that Lisa Kudrow was supposed to be a character on the show. I guess not.

I liked it better than Grey’s honestly. I was almost irritated every time it cut back to Grey’s. I’m looking forward to it in the fall. Think it’ll come back with a more clever name???

Sorry Bonnie. I totally disagree. First off the show should be titled Land of Cast-offs becase ALL of them have been on shows that have been cancelled. No new actors/actresses to spice things up. And no i am not counting the male receptionist. Who is not that hot and you would NEVER see that surf board in a real private practice. I just never got into it. Addison isn’t even the same on the show. It felt like a show that you would find on the WB (or whatever that station is called now) with the lighting, set design and heavy makeup. And i was hugely disappointed with the lack of Grey’s. I mean Merideth get’s smacked by her father! Just wanted to see more. I hope McSteamy doesn’t go anywhere and gets more of a story line next season.

So get this…I MISSED Grey’s Anatomy and Ugly Betty last night. The supersized episode of The Office really screwed with my DVR and neither recorded. I’m ok on the Grey’s front since it’s going to reair tonight. I guess I’ll have to watch Ugly Betty online, but ugh!!
