Karen vs. Pam: A Ken Burns-esque Mocumentary

March 12, 2007 by

Check out this hilarious take on the The Office’s Karen vs. Pam saga in this spook based on the works of famous documentarian Ken Burns.

Every Karen/Pam video lends itself to an open debate, and gives me the chance to once again say Teeeeeeeaaaaaammm PAM!!!

Listen, Greg, Paul, Michael, Gene, Lee, Mindy, BJ, Brent, Jennifer and any other Office writer who I am blanking on at the moment – I don’t know how much more of this I can take. Can’t Karen and Roy go off an make beautiful babies together already? I don’t mean to beat a dead horse but knowing that Karen is still around feels like I am being held under water just waiting to come to the surface to catch a breath. And that breath is named Jim and Pam.

Yeah, that was way too over dramatic, but I’m sorry…I just miss them. I miss their friendship. I miss them having fun together and enjoying each other’s company. I understand if TPTB can’t put them together romantically at this point in time (for whatever reason), but please just have Jim stop using Karen as a barrier to guard his heart Pam (sorry but I’m enjoying the melodrama of it all today). Enough already…I just miss JAM.
(…and here I was just going to post the video and leave it at that).

GMMR, I know exaclty what you mean. I miss their friendship too. If they can’t be together, I just want them to get back to that. I think it was a little easier on us when Pam was with Roy last season because he worked in the wharehouse so Jim and Pam coiuld still interact in the office and now they can’t even really do that :o(

I completely agree GMMR. In my head I’m trying to realize they aren’t going to have them cuddle anytime soon! But at least throw us a bone every once in a while.

So…is Rashida Jones coming back next season? I know they announced Ed Helms as a regular cast member, and I think based on that announcement and the fact that Rashida is in a new pilot – we all assumed she would be off the show.

BUT I listened to a few radio interviews Rashida did in New York a few weeks ago – and she flatly denied that she was not on going to be on the show. She said she was able to do both – The Office and the pilot. I’m hoping she was just trying to throw us off……..but thinking that she’d be off next season was helping me through this difficult JAM time.

Sorry this turned out to be long…but does anyone know if Rashida is back next season for sure?

As a guy I’m equally split between karen and Pam because both are hot. I don’t know why Jim gets his choice.
I do miss the fun Jim and Pam once had. They were funny to watch together and it added to the comedy of the show. Now Jim and Pam are all depressing. I really don’t get why the writers are keeping them apart. I just think that maybe they’ve decided to never put them together. If they are going to put them together they better do it soon or else we are going to forget why we wanted them together in the first place.

GMMR, way over dramatic? You’re not being over-ly dramatic enough! (ooh, I got goosebumps)

This season has been a festival of pain. The Office is a comedy. Throwing anvils at Pam ain’t funny, folks. Enough is enough! It’s sad how we’re at the point now where just having Jim and Pam in the same scene would be progress. *sigh* Yeah, that YouTube vid is funny. :-/

GMMR- Flove the video! You’re not alone in missing JAM, and to prove you have company in your desperateness (? word) I DVR’d both epi’s from last Thursday and have watched the JAM reunion hug more than a busy mother of two should . In addition I find myself addicted to the look Jim gives Pam after she realizes he is pulling the” Andy” prank on her.

GMMR- Flove the video! You are not alone in missing JAM! I’ll share this much… I DVR”d both epi’s last Thurs.- Not only have I watched the Jim/ Pam reunion hug more times that a busy mother of 2 should but I also find myself oddly addicted to the look J/P share after she figures out he is puliig the “Andy” prank on her.

    Nice! Very well done.

Karen – You are right…maybe if you watched the JAM reunion less your daughters wouldn’t be writing all over each other. HOLLA!!!!

Just a quick note about a previous post. Rashida didn’t flatly deny that she was leaving, all she said was that it’s possible to do two shows at once…

Hey Karen – I am so glad I am not the only mother of 2 addicted to this show and the hugs/glances between Jim and Pam. But can you recite the CN confession word for word? Sadly, I can.

  14. GMMR on March 12th, 2007 6:17 pm

King – I’m going to say that she probably can’t. But in her defense, my brother-in-law just got her a DVR for Xmas this year, so she hasn’t been able to watch it 5000 times like the rest of us.

All I have to say about this is: AMEN, GMMR, AMEN!!

  16. LaLa on March 12th, 2007 9:37 pm

BTW, I just watched the video, and that was HILARIOUS!!! Totally genius, I love it!!

  17. King on March 13th, 2007 7:17 am

What would we do without our DVRs, GMMR?

  18. RB on March 13th, 2007 11:23 am

I feel your pain…I miss them too 🙁
