Scranton Summers: The Office Cartoon Series

June 27, 2006 by

TV’s best comedy may be on a summer break, but we at GiveMeMyRemote.com don’t want you to be in “Office” withdrawal. In case you missed some of your favorite Dunder Mifflinites, we thought we would give you a sneak peek as to what they’ve been up to over the summer.

GMMR is proud to team up with the fabulous and talented Meg for these exclusive cartoons inspired by our favorite show, The Office.

The Office Cartoons
Ok, how talented is Meg? When I first approached her about doing an “Office” cartoon, I knew she was uber-talented but this is off the charts. Thanks again Meg. Can’t wait to see the next one!!!

    Hey gmmr!

I wanted to let you know that I’ll be receving the first season of The Office today from Netflix so pretty soon I’ll be able to understand what the heck you people are prattling on about. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I have to say, I’m very excited. If it’s half as good as the original, I’ll enjoy it.

  2. Sus on June 27th, 2006 7:25 am

Also…that cartoon rocks, even though I don’t really understand it since I haven’t yet seen the show. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  3. Bob on June 27th, 2006 7:41 am

I don’t understand it and I have seen the show. What’s the matter if Dwight has his own bathroom? and why would Jim give him one? Isn’t that a good thing?

  4. Sammy on June 27th, 2006 7:45 am

This is GREAT!!! Meg, you are VERY talented. I wish I could draw. Bob – lighten up, it’s just a cartoon. Stanley thought Dwight put up the sign. I can’t wait for another cartoon

Meg – you are great. And GMMR, we can always count on you to bring us great Office stuff. I hope NBC pays you well for all you do for their show.

    Excellent!

I guess you have to have seen the show to appreciate this. I have and I think it’s awesome. Not only are the caricatures great, but the punchline is hilarious. It’s perfectly in keeping with the style of humor of the show. Nicely done, Meg.

I know you have lots of great content on lots of different shows, GMMR, but I still say this is one of my favorite office sites.

Wow! Truly talented. How do I get a Madge cartoon for my office wall. This is a must have item.
    Absolutely fabulous…..Stanley is so hysterical!

    THanks for sharing your talent!

I love it! Meg, you rock- I can’t wait to see what’s coming next.

  19. TheNextKristin on June 28th, 2006 4:49 pm

I thought it was funny when I saw it, then wound up bursting out laughing thinking about it later yesterday. I then tried to act it out for my sister but forgot about Dwight saying “Jim…” so when I came back to see it again, I laughed again.

  20. Brad on June 29th, 2006 1:37 pm

That rocks! Can’t wait to see some more! Unlike Stanley, I DO think that is funny!

    Very Cool!!!

  22. GiadaFan on July 7th, 2006 9:55 pm

I think the “Dwights Only” reference is to the “Conflict Resolution” epi. where Dwight complains that the restroom is “whites only” and Michael blames the complaint on Stanley.

    Awesome cartoon.

  23. Larry Lee Moniz on July 12th, 2006 12:13 pm

    Meg, this is fantastic!

The likenesses of Dwight and Stanley are dead-on!
I can’t wait to see more.
This is just the kind of thing us fans need to get us through a long summer of reruns!

    Very funny!

    Larry

Here is the most crazy thing that i could have ever thought of. There was an intern fired at our company for sharing this cartoon. Insane, not reprimanded, not flogged, gone, vaporized.

    Sad isnt it?

How come 95% of the people [including The Office fans] did not truly understand this comic? It is not truly funny until you catch the subtle humor, as is with all of the show’s laughs. Try thinking of what the sign on the door sounds like, and looking at Stanley…hmmm…Wow! Is it funnier now? I think so.

  31. Leah on May 23rd, 2010 1:26 pm

This was hilarious, it captures the very essence of Dwight and Stanley, you should make more of these jokes, I am looking forward to seeing them!
