NBC has canceled HANNIBAL, the network announced.

“We have been tremendously proud of HANNIBAL over its three seasons,” the network said in a statement. “[HANNIBAL creator] Bryan [Fuller] and his team of writers and producers, as well as our incredible actors, have brought a visual palette of storytelling that has been second to none in all of television — broadcast or cable. We thank Gaumont and everyone involved in the show for their tireless efforts that have made HANNIBAL an incredible experience for audiences around the world.”

“NBC has allowed us to craft a television series that no other broadcast network would have dared, and kept us on the air for three seasons despite Cancellation Bear Chow ratings and images that would have shredded the eyeballs of lesser Standards & Practices enforcers,” Fuller said in a statement. “Jen Salke and her team have been fantastic partners and creatively supportive beyond measure. HANNIBAL is finishing his last course at NBC’s table this summer, but a hungry cannibal can always dine again. And personally, I look forward to my next meal with NBC.”

HANNIBAL’s third season is currently airing Thursdays at 10 PM on NBC.

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER’s nine season journey is about to come to an end on March 31st, and, understandably, that has brought up a lot of emotions for the actors involved with the series.

Before Saturday night’s PaleyFest panel honoring the series, I spoke with HIMYM stars Josh Radnor (Ted), Alyson Hannigan (Lily), and Cristin Milioti (The Mother) about how it felt to finish that final script…

We have just a few weeks left before HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER’s series finale, so the mood was a bit bittersweet as the show was honored at PaleyFest on Saturday night in Hollywood.

Take a look at photos of stars Alyson Hannigan (Lily), Cobie Smulders (Robin), Cristin Milioti (The Mother), and Josh Radnor (Ted), plus executive producer/director Pamela Fryman, creators Carter Bay and Craig Thomas, and moderator/guest star Wayne Brady (James)…

After nine seasons on the air, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER is pulling a stunt with tonight’s episode that it has never tried before: the entire thing will be in rhyme.

“[It’s] super fun, and I just thought it was such an imaginative episode,” Josh Radnor (Ted) told reporters on set last week. “It’s a great episode. Super weird. Never been done on television.”

And while it may seem like it would be a nightmare to try and make the logistics of the episode work out, HIMYM co-creator Carter Bays noted it was “so much easier [to write] than it seemed. To the point that what was difficult was writing the next episode and not being able to rhyme.”

There comes a point in any friendship when you need to step in after a friend gets in over their head. For the cast of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, they needed a HIMYM-appropriate intervention at last night’s Emmy awards for co-star Neil Patrick Harris about his Excessive Hosting Disorder issue.
