DAISY JONES & THE SIX: Watch the Music-Filled Teaser Trailer for the New Prime Video Series

Prime Video has released the first teaser trailer for DAISY JONES & THE SIX, an adaptation of the book by Taylor Jenkins Reid.

The show is “detailing the rise and precipitous fall of a renowned rock band. In 1977, Daisy Jones & The Six were on top of the world. Fronted by two charismatic lead singers—Daisy Jones (Riley Keough) and Billy Dunne (Sam Claflin)—the band had risen from obscurity to fame. And then, after a sold-out show at Chicago’s Soldier Field, they called it quits. Now, decades later, the band members finally agree to reveal the truth. This is the story of how an iconic band imploded at the height of its powers.”

DAISY JONES & THE SIX: Amazon Bosses on the Original Songs, the Search for Billy

Amazon is adapting the delightful DAISY JONES & THE SIX, the wildly addictive book by Taylor Jenkins Reid about the rise and fall of a fictional band, into a 13-episode limited series, but it’s still missing a key component: Billy Dunne. (Pablo Schreiber provided the voice of the character in the Audible audiobook; Amazon has cast Riley Keough as Daisy Jones, while Camila Morrone will play Camila Dunne.)

“It is incredibly important [casting],” Vernon Sanders, Co-Head of Television, Amazon Studios, said during the streaming platform’s executive session during TCA. “And we’re doing a global search. We’ve been thrilled with the cast we’ve assembled so far, so we’ve gotta nail it. So it’s taken some time, but we’ll find the right person.” Read more
