The CHICAGO world is officially expanding on NBC with the addition of CHICAGO MED to the lineup. (That brings Dick Wolf’s current show total up to five on NBC right now, with CHICAGO PD, CHICAGO FIRE, and LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT.)

LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT has had its share of shakeups over the past few seasons, but the past few months have led to two mainstays departing the squad: Sergeant Munch (Richard Belzer) and Captain Cragen.

“I think the cast member changes have been the natural attrition of a show that’s 15 years old,” Robert Greenblatt told reporters after his executive session.. “I think it’s been great to bring new cast members into the show as well.”

But just because the show is down two people, Greenblatt said fans shouldn’t expect any new faces to suddenly appear any time soon.
