Fox has firmed up its summer plans.

In addition to the previously announced PARADISE HOTEL (which will air three times per week), BEAT SHAZAM will return on Monday, May 20; MASTERCHEF’s tenth season kicks off on Wednesday, May 29; and SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE (with judges Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy, Laurieann Gibson, and Dominic “D-Trix” Sandoval) will return on Monday, June 10.

New series SPIN THE WHEEL will debut on Thursday, June 20. Per Fox, “Executive-produced by four-time Emmy Award-winning actor and 10-time Grammy Award-winning musician Justin Timberlake, and hosted by actor, director, writer and comedian Dax Shepard (“Hit and Run”), the show offers life-changing opportunities to win fortunes each episode with the spin of a massive, unpredictable wheel. The show, created by Timberlake and Andrew Glassman (“The Wall”), is a suspenseful, high-energy mix of pop culture trivia, strategy and simple whirling luck, with the possibility of winning incredible sums of cash prizes upwards of $20 million. With massive prize money on the line, contestants must make sweat-inducing, gut-wrenching decisions: whether to walk away, or risk it all to SPIN THE WHEEL one last time.”

Fox 2018-2019 schedule

Fox’s Fall 2018 lineup is going to look very different than previous years—in part because of the addition of Thursday Night Football, as well as the massive amount of cancellations and show revamps.

Among the notable moves? New comedy REL is getting a post-NFL preview, while sophomore drama 9-1-1 (with new star Jennifer Love Hewitt) is getting a two-night premiere.

AMERICAN IDOL will come to an end with the upcoming 15th season (which will launch in January of 2016), but parting with a show that has meant so much to the network wasn’t a move they came to lightly.

“It’s not an easy decision; AMERICAN IDOL has been such a vital part of Fox for its run,” Gary Newman, Co-Chairman and CEO, Fox Television Group, said on a call with reporters. “We spent a lot of time talking with the producers about the future of AMERICAN IDOL, and collectively, we all arrived to the conclusion it was time to bring the show to an end. We’re already talking about surprises we can have for the fans to make it feel special, and to send it off in a way that is as significant as the run it has had on our network.”

Among those potential surprises for next season? The potential return of former judges.
