I spoke with HOSTAGES star Mateus Ward (Jake) about the “acting INCEPTION” of playing a character faking their own death, what comes next, and more…

The final HOSTAGES hour of 2013 is a big one…and as the promos have hinted, the Sanders family finds themselves in even more of a bind than before. And while there is very little that can be said about the hour before it airs, Mateus Ward (Jake) did offer up this juicy tease about “Fight or Flight”:

Comments Off on CBS Moves INTELLIGENCE’s Premiere, Schedules HOSTAGES’ Finale

CBS has opted to give INTELLIGENCE — its new action series starring Josh Holloway, Marg Helgenberger, and Meghan Ory — a special premiere with a one-night preview on January 7, 2014 behind NCIS. The show will then move to its regular Mondays at 9 PM slot on January 13th.

INTELLIGENCE follows Holloway’s Gabriel, a “high-tech intelligence operative enhanced with a super-computer microchip in his brain” as he goes on assignments. Helgenberger plays his boss, and Ory plays the Secret Service agent who was assigned to protect him.

Meanwhile, HOSTAGES will close out its season with a two-hour finale on Monday, January 6, 2014.

Do you think you’ll be checking out INTELLIGENCE?

When Ellen’s sister, Lauren, shows up unexpectedly at their house intending to stay, Duncan forces Ellen to get rid of her without making it look suspicious. Meanwhile, when the secret service calls Ellen in for questioning again, she must play it cool when Duncan is there to help do the questioning.

WAREHOUSE 13 may have completed production on its final season, but star Joanne Kelly won’t be free for long: a rep for HOSTAGES confirmed that Kelly has landed a recurring role on the CBS freshman drama. She’ll first appear in the show’s seventh episode.

According to Deadline (who was first to report the casting), Kelly will play Vanessa, an “ambitious ambassador”…and the sister of First Lady (whose husband, the president, is the target of a murder plot).

Comments Off on HOSTAGES: What You Need to Know About the New CBS Series

There are approximately one million new shows debuting this season*, and it’s going to get difficult to keep track of them all.

To help you out, for every new show, I’m going to basically create a hub of info on the day of the premiere — pilot photos, my quick take on the pilot (or what I’ve seen so far), what’s been written about it so far, and when you can watch it.

Next up, HOSTAGES…

Comments Off on HOSTAGES: Executive Producers Jeffrey Nachmanoff and Rick Eid on Crafting a Satisfying Season 1 Arc

CBS is trying something a little bit different this television season: HOSTAGES, a 15-episode serialized drama starring Toni Collette and Dylan McDermott, about a surgeon who is taken hostage with her family…right before she was scheduled to operate on the President of the United States.
