Brett Dier has had a very busy 2018-2019 television season, juggling both his return to JANE THE VIRGIN and co-starring role on the new ABC comedy SCHOOLED.
The result has been a whole lot of Dier on Wednesday nights: as teacher (and potential love interest to AJ Michalka’s Lainey) CB on SCHOOLED at 8:30/7:30c on ABC, and as an amnesiac, returned-from-the-dead Michael on the final season of JANE THE VIRGIN at 9/8c on The CW.
“That’s the hardest I’ve ever worked in my entire life,” Dier explained in the video below. “I was doing two shows at once for three to four months, so it was exhausting. But I learned a lot.”

JANE THE VIRGIN ended its fourth season with a massive cliffhanger: Rafael (Justin Baldoni) asked Jane (Gina Rodriguez) to come to his apartment…and brought her face-to-face with someone who looked a whole lot like her long-dead husband Michael (Brett Dier).

The final season of JANE THE VIRGIN will premiere on Wednesday, March 27. IZOMBIE‘s last chapter will kick off on Thursday, May 2.
THE 100’s new season will bow on Tuesday, April 30. The delightfully bonkers LEGENDS OF TOMORROW continues its season on Monday, April 15. Read more

The CW has set finale dates for a number of its shows.
DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW will wrap up its season on Monday, April 9 at 8/7c. (SUPERGIRL will continue its season there when LEGENDS concludes.) Meanwhile, IZOMBIE’s fourth season will end on Monday, May 28 at 9/8c.
BLACK LIGHTNING’s inaugural season ends on Tuesday, April 17 at 9/8c; THE FLASH’s year concludes on Tuesday, May 22 at 8/7c.

After Jane spent all season pregnant, she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy…only to have him immediately get kidnapped.
“The second season is not the story of how they get the baby back; the baby comes back,” JANE THE VIRGIN creator Jennie Snyder Urman reassured.

Season premiere: After Jane (Gina Rodriguez) discovers Mateo’s abduction, chaos ensues, especially when they all learn Sin Rostro is involved and demanding a ransom. Trying to help, Rogelio (Jaime Camil) tweets about Mateo’s kidnapping making the Villanueva family targets of the paparazzi. Despite everything that has happened, Jane must also focus on motherhood and turns to Xo (Andrea Navedo) and Alba (Ivonne Coll) for help, leaving Rafael (Justin Baldoni) feeling left out. Meanwhile, Petra (Yael Grobglas) is conflicted with what to do with Rafael’s remaining sperm sample.

Musical star Kesha will guest star on an upcoming episode of JANE THE VIRGIN, The CW announced.
Per the network, Kesha will play Annabelle, a “rocker who moves next door to Jane and isn’t exactly a ‘baby person.'” She’ll appear in episode 2 of the second season.
“We are so thrilled Kesha will be appearing on JANE!” JANE THE VIRGIN creator Jennie Snyder Urman said in a statement. “We are all huge fans of hers, and we are so excited to welcome her to the JANE THE VIRGIN family.”
Kesha isn’t the only big name appearing on JANE THE VIRGIN’s sophomore season: Britney Spears will also be popping up as Rogelio’s nemesis.
JANE THE VIRGIN returns Monday, October 12 at 9 PM on The CW.
