Just days after it was revealed that Luke Mitchell has been promoted to be a series regular on CHICAGO MED, the actor acknowledges getting to stick around on the show “means a lot.”
“It feels really special,” Mitchell, who debuted as Dr. Mitch Ripley in the season 9 premiere, tells Give Me My Remote. (The series was also recently renewed for season 10.) “I’ve been lucky enough to work on a few different shows over the years, so I know what it’s like [to be a regular]. But I have to say that there is something particularly special about CHICAGO MED.”

THE CODE will have a special premiere on Tuesday, April 9 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) before it moves into its regular Monday time period on April 15 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT), after MAGNUM P.I. completes its season order. BIG SKY is rounding out its season 3 cast: J. Anthony Pena has been upped to series regular in the upcoming third season, with Henry Ian Cusick, Seth Gabel, Luke Mitchell, Anirudh Pisharody, and Madalyn Horcher joining the ABC drama, a rep for the show confirms. They join previously announced cast additions Jensen Ackles and Reba.
