SUPERSTORE: ‘Costume Competition’ Photos

It’s one of the most wonderful times of the year—SUPERSTORE Halloween!

The October 25th episode, “Costume Competition,” finds the Cloud 9 employees going all in to win a grand prize: a paid day off.

Some go all in (America Ferrera’s Amy and Nico Santos’ Mateo). Others stick with what works (Lauren Ash’s Dina, who dons a hot cop uniform, albeit this time while very pregnant). And then there’s Jonah’s (Ben Feldman) annual deep costume. (Hopefully the name tag will help with potential confusion.)

After three seasons of flirtation and friendship, SUPERSTORE’s Amy (America Ferrera) and Jonah (Ben Feldman) hooked up in the finale…and their coupling was made very public, as it live-streamed to Cloud 9 stores worldwide.

“We slow-played [the relationship] as much as possible,” SUPERSTORE executive producer Justin Spitzer said after the finale. “And then we decided for the one time, let’s do the opposite—let’s make a giant step forward.”

In the first footage from the upcoming fourth season, the duo are back to work—just in time for back to school season—and everyone has plenty to say about their sex tape. (It is not, Dina notes, a sex stream.) But Amy is horrified when she discovers Jonah has also gotten a nickname out of their encounter—and tries to figure out one for herself.

SUPERSTORE‘s excellent third season made major moves on-screen and off, as several cast members took on expanded roles beyond their characters: America Ferrera (Amy) helmed her second episode of the series; Ben Feldman (Jonah) made his directorial debut; and Lauren Ash (Dina) wrote her first installment of the NBC comedy, “Gender Reveal.”
