THE OFFICE and Joshua Jackson News!

February 21, 2008 by

Wow, even as I was writing that title I realized that even teasing that Joshua Jackson might be on THE OFFICE is incredibly cruel. But it got your attention, didn’t it? Sadly no, my dreams of dreams won’t be coming true…Josh Jackson won’t be playing Jim Halpert’s brother (can you imagine), but there is some scoop on both of my favorite things this week courtesy of E!’s Kristin Dos Santos.

The Office LogoTHE OFFICE will thankfully be returning with new episodes on April 10th (praise Jesus) and Kristin’s sources tell her that after the long awaited “Dinner Party” episode, the storyline will indeed jump to the present time, and will acknowledge the 5 month time jump caused by the WGA strike. How will they do this? Really, are you questioning the OFFICE writers? Don’t you know better by now? Jumping time isn’t really new to the show. The documentary film crew capturing the day to day happenings of Dunder Mifflin have always taken the summer months off. Sadly, it’s why we missed Jim and Pam’s first date. I just can’t wait for my favorite show to be back. April seems so very far away.

Any theories on how THE OFFICE writers can explain the 5 month jump in time?

Joshua JacksonFrom my favorite show to one of my favorite all time TV boyfriends. It’s been confirmed that despite the strike, Josh Jackson will be guesting on GREY’S ANATOMY this season after all. There was much buzz when his mini story arc was announced last year, but the WGA strike out that and all other stories on hold. But according to Kristin, Jackson will be appearing this season (YAY) and will be a love interest for Christina (BOO). Don’t get your hopes up for Josh to join the cast as a regular though, as he’s already filming the pilot for a new J.J. Abrams sci-fi show on Fox called FRINGE.

To hear this news right from KDS herself, along with some delish scoop about tonight’s LOST, head on over to the Watch with Kristin section of E! and check out the first video on the right hand side of the page.

Wow! You got my attention. Josh on The Office would be, in the words of Kelly, A-MA-ZING!!! Oh well. I’m so happy it’s coming back this season. I can’t wait to see the Dinner Party.

As for Josh on GA. I guess I will tune into those episodes to see him, but it won’t put GA back on my must watch list.

The Office and Josh in one post is almost too much for me to handle this early in the morning..

Rose – We don’t know if they are going to incorporate Angela’s pregnancy into the storyline or not. To be honest, I would be kind of shocked if they did. That’s just too much storyline to make up and not have the viewers see.

Well if they don’t address it, she’s going to have to carry around a heck of a lot file folders in order to cover up her big belly. She’s such a tiny little thing to begin with, her sudden girth isn’t really explainable.

I think they’ll explain the 5 months by saying that the documentary film makers association of America was on strike.

As for Angela… i have no idea how they’ll handle that. Since she and Dwight had just broken up, they could write it in that she’s pregnant with his baby (the Schrutes produce very thirsty babies), but since she’s so uptight and conservative that would be a crazy, weird (but interesting) storyline.

Perhaps, but I also think they could hide Angela away and lessen her storyline. I mean, she’s due in early May, right? That means she’s going to be gone for a number of episodes anyway. Maybe she’ll have a lot of conversations with Pam over the partition where we won’t see her belly.

I’m just having a hard time grasping the idea that Angela will be pregnant when the show comes back. The viewers will miss her breaking things off with Andy, getting back together with Dwight and finding out that they are having a baby? They’re going to explain all of that to us in flashbacks or talking heads? I just feel like it’s a bit too much to handle when the writers could easily hide Angela and have her take a leave of absence or something.

The Office + Josh Jackson? I think my brain just exploded.

I didn’t know Josh was gonna’ be in the new J.J. Abrams series. Exciting!

I’m hoping they just hide the pregnancy, it does seem like way too much of a leap to try to incorporate that into a storyline (so much time has passed, and only 6 episodes left). Angela does sit in a poorly lit, rarely visited corner of the office, so it shouldn’t be too tough to hide it. Although I’m thinking of Scully on the X-Files, she was also such a tiny woman that there was no way you couldn’t notice the pregnancy weight gain. But we’ll all just have to use our imagination. Is it April yet??

I think that the film crew that is documenting the office will have been on strike, but I don’t know if they will involves angela being pregnant

that IS incredibly cruel! i got all excited, dammit! anyway, i’ll second the opinion that they’ll say the documentary filmmakers were on strike. and HOORAY for josh on grey’s anatomy (although i’m not excited about the cristina aspect, either). i guess you have to take what you can get. (=
