Good news out of Scranton today. According to Michael Ausiello, NBC has ordered up a whopping 30 episodes of THE OFFICE for next season. A traditional season of TV has only 22 so this is certainly a vote of confidence from NBC. No word yet on how many of those thirty episodes will be an hour long. And if we learned anything from this season, I think it’s that the hour long eps of THE OFFICE are better kept for special occasions. Oh and we also learned that Jim and Pam are adorable together so don’t think of breaking them up anytime soon. Or else….
Production for the remaining 6 episodes of this season starts on Thursday, and the first new ep will air on April 10th. Praise the Lord!!
I’m heading to L.A. from March 14-20th of this month, so I’ll keep my eyes peeled for any Dunder Mifflinites walking around town.

Hurrah! I hope this is making up for this season because the writer’s strike screwed up having a 30 half hour episode season.

That IS good news! That’s a long season…will make up for this short one, hopefully! But I agree - save the hour longs for special episodes. I hope Steve writes one next season, too!

Yay! Isn’t this the same deal they had for this season, though? (before the strike) They were supposed to film 30 half hour episodes, with five of them being used as hour-longs, making it 25 episodes for the season.

I just had to weigh in on this one. This is exciting news and a consolation prize to the abbreviated season we had this year. Long live The Office (and Jim & Pam of course).

Hey Kathy, I just say Oscar today! We flew from Orlando to LAX together, well kinda, there were just about thirty rows of seats between us, but still… together. I caught up to him at baggage claim to chat and get a picture. He seemed happy to get back to work tomorrow. And I was very happy to have a brush with The Office!

What are you talking about. Evey episode should be an hour long. I love the first part of the season. They just have to cut so much out to make thirty mins.

Hurray!! That is so cool, maybe we will actually get to see a Pam/Jim Vaelntine’s Day next season!! Wouldn’t that be great?!?!?
