Emmy Nominations Tomorrow – Live on GMMR

Emmy Nominations Tomorrow

Big day tomorrow!! The nominations for the 58th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will be announced tomorrow morning at 5:35 am (PST)/8:35am (EST). If you are kickin’ it on the West Coast, you will probably sleep through the nomination annoucements, and if you are here on the East banks of the good ‘ol USA, you will most likely be at work. So, because I am a good person whose only interest in life is to serve her readers, I will be posting the nominations live as they are annouced.

So check back tomorrow morning and see if your favorite actors/actresses/show got the nom.

And since this is such a big day in the TV world, a few kindly requests from me to you as you say your goodnight prayers tonight…

– For the sake of all that is holy, please let either Lauren Graham or Kristen Bell get a nomination this year. With all the hype surrounding the “new” Emmy system, it would be just horrible if neither of these accomplished actresses are recognized

– If you would like a happy GMMR tomorrow, The Office best be nominated for Best Comedy. And of course you will see a beyond estatic GMMR if my #1 boy, John Krasinski, gets nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy (as he should)

– Finally, last week I submitted my application to get red carpet access to this year’s Emmy Awards. It’s a long shot, this I know, but I have learned that you can’t get anything in life if you don’t ask. So if you could send some well wishes my way, hopefully the kind people at The Lappin Group in LA will approve me for press credentials.

UPDATE: Feel free to continue the Emmy debates in the GMMR Forums.  I just created a new thread just for the snubs and surprises. Click here for all the Emmy talk.

“I will be posting the nominations live as they are annouced.”

(Aside from the typo) Bless your soul, K! That just made my day.

I can’t believe the noms are TOMORROW… July 6th used to feel so far away (it kind of still does)!

I’d also like to second your nominations and add in big hopes for Arrested Development’s final season.

As a member of the mainstream media, I’d say you’re as much a member of the press as anyone. Your coverage tomorrow is proof. So while getting credentials may be a long shot, they ought to recognize that sites like this are the future of media: specialized, opinion-driven and influential. Good luck.

Good luck with the press credentials GMMR! I know you’d definitely ask better questions than more than half of those TV reporters out there!

As for the Emmy noms, I definitely am hoping for recognition for Lauren Graham, Kristen Bell, The Office, and Prison Break. My longshot wish is for Everwood and/or Treat Williams to be recognized, as well. Can’t wait for the announcements….

I’ll be right here, bright and early (once I get to work) tomorrow. I’m a west coaster, so I’ll be a little behind, but I will be such a happy gal if JK gets the nod he so completely deserves. Can’t wait! Thanks for always keeping us informed, and I’m sending you heaps of good wishes that you get red carpet access. *transmitting* lol.

    Either Kristen OR Lauren????

Whatchoo talkin’ bout, Willis? I’m rooting for both! 😀

And now that I’ve seen the first season of The Office (and will be watching the last 3 eps of the 2nd season tonight, despite my hatred of seeing shows out of order) I can now root for The Office whole-heartedly.
