The Office, Heroes and Get Early Renewal

Put this one into the HELL YEAH pile!!!

NBC has ordered early full-season pickups for the 2007-08 season for four hit series — the comedies “The Office” and “My Name Is Earl,” and dramas “Heroes” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, ” it was announced today by Kevin Reilly, President, NBC Entertainment.

“These four series represent some of the best of what we consider to be the ‘NBC brand’ of quality shows,” said Reilly. “It is a pleasure to give them an early renewal to develop more stories for next year since we know they will remain both critical and commercial successes for a long time to come.”

I’m not sure if any of this comes as a shock, but an “early” pick up is just an outward sign of confidence in a show.  Congrats to all!!

Now all we need is a pick-up for 30 Rock and Friday Night Lights and NBC is my homeboy.

That’s great! I definitely hope that Friday Night Lights also will get a renewal for next season!

Oh – I also want to add that with the news that Scrubs was asked to plan for another season, I also hope 30 Rock gets a renewal and they keep the current Thursday Night comedy line-up in place next season. I def. don’t want NBC to insert some lame new comedy in the line-up like they’ve done in the past.

YAY!!! More Office Thursdays! (You are going to do that right GMMR?) The world will end if you don’t!!!

Hallejeuh!! What wonderful news!! Now if NBC would just pick up “Friday Night Lights” (I’m pretty sure the other four shows I watch (Ugly Betty, Brothers & Sisters, Lost & Desperate Housewives) are all but in for next season. “FNL” is the only one (since “The O.C.” has already been cancelled) that I’m worried about).

Anyways, thanks for the great news GMMR!!

That’s awesome!! Even though I don’t watch Heros or SUV. I’m happy to hear about The Office and My Name is Earl.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed Friday Night Lights gets renewed!

This has probably just made my day. I was so worried off and on about the office last year and now this – no worries at all. I love it. I would have to agree about Friday Night Lights. And 30 Rock. I hope they both get to stick around next year.

As a side note – how creepy is it when you’re boss comes in your office singing? Ugh.

Yeah, it was a given but it’s still nice to know that The Office is officially guaranteed to be back. That being said, as others mentioned, I’m waiting for the 30 Rock announcement now.

And yes, I am looking forward to Studio 60 being back after this month-long hiatus but I won’t hold my breath that they’re able to make it past May. I wish it would, but that show is so uneven at times and so expensive to put on the air and so low in the ratings…you get the point.

Ignorance is bliss I guess, because I never gave it a thought that NBC wouldn’t renew The Office. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for 30 Rock. It started off a bit shaky, but it’s really hitting a good stride now.

This is a beautiful thing. unless there is a major cliffhanger, which means I go numb until September. lol.

I am so happy for the cast and crew, and the brillant writers, they’re going on to season four, when they didn’t believe that there’d be an episode two! YAY! We shall be seeing some great things coming from Scranton in the next year… yip-yee!

I’m so happy that these shows are getting an early renewel. Not a suprise though because these are the best shows on NBC. I watch all of them except I haven’t gotten into The Office. Heroe’s is definitely one of best new shows of the year. I can’t wait for the new episode on Monday. They just won a People’s Choice Award last week. Did anyone catch the award show? It was good and the cast looked amazing. You can check out highlights and behind the scene coverage at http://www.pcavote.com They also have message boards and blogs you can interact on. I’m with the People’s Choice Community so check it out and belong!
