As predicted in today’s “Watchlist” there was a screw up with my DVR and Friday Night Lights didn’t record. Nor did American Idol. Great…just great. The only thing that could make this night worse was if I find out that Sanjaya was staying around another week. Oh damn 🙁
I’ve received a bunch of emails telling me how fantastic Friday Night Lights was tonight. Please don’t spoil me. I beg of you. I plan on watching tonight’s episode on NBC.com tomorrow. Ugh…this blows.

Aw, that sucks. I knew there was a reason I’m a technology neanderthal (I use tapes, no mp3 player, no cell) At the risk of sounding like my grandpa, it can’t be trusted! …and the fact that Ijust might be too poor and/or dumb to own such things is not at all a factor! Sorry you missed FNL. It. was.awesome.
GMMR – I ended up missing tonight’s FNL episode too, but I hope my recording worked! I’m going to be so upset if it didn’t! I’m also hearing that it was a great episode and I’m so anxious to see it.
You know, I’ve been thinking about getting tivo for a while now but it seems like every time I turn around I hear someone saying, “My tivo didn’t record last night!” Maybe it isn’t worth it.
I have had a TiVo and a DVR and the TiVo is MUCH MUCH more reliable than my old DVR. Notice she said dvr and not tivo. They are different products and schedule recordings differently.
Well, I recorded it and it worked, but I am still going to watch it online because there were technichal difficulties when it aired in my area. The frames kept pausing and going to that colored bar screen. A few lines skipped and it was like listening to a broken record. So, maybe you are better off watching it online like me. It was one of the best episodes ever (I know that can be said about every episode.)!
GMMR, check your Tivo To-Do List. My FNL also didn’t record but then I noticed that it was set to record at 3:30am. Apparently my city pre-empted it for something. And since both your city and my city are major cities, then perhaps you got pre-empted as well 😉
Well, on the bright side, I envy you because you get to watch one of the best episodes of the season for the first time tomorrow night. Sooooo good (apart from a bit of an implausible plot device near the start).
Not only one of the best episodes of Friday Night Lights of the year, it’s easily one of the top five best episodes of any show this year. Seriously, this is why Al Gore invented NBC.com (where I already rewatched the episode).
