The Office Thursday at Give Me My Remote

Listen, it’s Thursday so naturally it’s Office Thursday. But tonight is the very last repeat of Season 3, so I thought we could do a little repeat viewing of our own. So for this Office Thursday I thought I would change things up a bit and tap into your inner Dunder Mifflin as you answer the 10 questions below.

But before we get started, a few odds & ends:

  • Don’t forget to check out “Back from Vacation” tonight at 8:30/7:30 on NBC
  • Since it’s a rerun and I’m traveling, we aren’t going to have a LIVE Office chat tonight. But next week we’ll be chatting it up over at Buddy TV so mark your calendars now!
  • Make sure you check out Kate Flannery’s blog over at TV Guide
  • As always, OfficeTally.com is the place to keep up with the Dunder Mifflinites 24/7
  • I didn’t create the Office cartoons above, but I’m looking for the person who did so I can give proper credit. If it’s you, please let me know.

#1: Desert Island Episodes
If you could only bring ONE episode of The Office with you on a desert island which one would you bring?

#2: Who Would You Do?
This long and hard about this one (TWSS). You can choose one and only one person that we’ve met via The Office. And remember, “who would you do” is NOT the same as who would like to grow old with. Think about it.

#3: The Dundie Goes To…
Secretly I know you want to be Michael Scott, so here’s your chance. You get to come up with ONE new Dundie and present it at this year’s Dundies (location TBD since someone who shall remain nameless has prevented us from returning to Chilis)

#4: Fight! Fight! Fight!…
We’re going back to the DoJo for this one. Mano vs. Mano. Chick vs. Chick (I said “vs.” NOT “on”). Who would be victorious in the following fights:

  • Jim vs. Dwight
  • Ryan vs. Stanley
  • Toby vs. Michael
  • Karen vs. Pam
  • Kelly vs. Angela

#5: Abraham Lincoln once said, that if you’re a racist, I will attack you with the North, and those are the principles that I carry with me in the workplace.
If Michal Scott can quote Abraham Lincoln, YOU should be able to quote The Office. Tell us your favorite Office quote.

MORE AFTER THE JUMP

#6: Ok, here’s your gift…
What’s been your favorite Office prank of all time? There’s been a lot, and not all have been pulled by Jim.

#7: Do you want to form an alliance with me? Absolutely I do.
Some employees are forming an alliance to get more camera time. Which alliance would you like to see more of (no mixing and matching):

  • Creed & Meredith
  • Phyllis & Kevin
  • Oscar & Toby
  • Stanley & Angela

#8: No, no one is helping me out Mom…
Mother knows best, right? You get to spend some one-on-one time with the mother of ONE Dunder Mifflin employee. She’ll give you the goods on what’s really going on with her son/daughter and why they are everything they choose to be. Who’s mom would you want to chat it up with?

#9: Office romances are nobody’s business but the people involved…
Who is your favorite Dunder Mifflin couple?

  • Jan & Michael
  • Ryan & Kelly
  • Dwight & Angela
  • Phyllis & Bob Vance
  • Karen & Jim
  • Oscar & Gil

#10: I want more than that…
You get to decide the fate of Jim & Pam. Tell us where you think JAM will be at the end of Season 3. Oh and the challenge – you have to do it in 25 words or less…be creative.

The Office Video of the Week…
It took me a long time to be ok with posting this video. I cried the first few times. This is REALLY well done if not a little sad.

  3. BJ on April 19th, 2007 11:24 am

    Ohhh, I love fun questions!

    1. SO hard. (That’s what she said.) Um… do I go old school or recent? Let’s go with classics and say, “The Injury.”

    2. Just do? Ryan. Grow old with (and by default “do”), JIM.

    3. The Dundie for “Best Management of Anger” goes to…

    4. Jim vs. Dwight:
As much as I love Jim, I think Dwight would take him down with some hardcore Ninja moves. Of course, Jim is good with the element of surprise, so… let’s say, they both get in a good hit and go down on the mat together. Seems fitting.

    Ryan vs. Stanley:
Stanley. All the way… just by the sheer power of his voice.

    Toby vs. Michael:
Toby. That man has some big time anger bubbling under the surface.

    Karen vs. Pam:
Hello… Pam! A swift easel to the knees leaves Karen on her back. (But not badly injured, because even though she needs to leave Jim alone, she’s a really nice girl.)

    Kelly vs. Angela:
Angela. Did we not see her breaking those Christmas ornaments. And slapping Dwight. The tightly wound are always the ones with the temper.

    5. There’s no way I can pick just one and feel like I’m being fair to all the other quotes. Alas, I do know the rules of Desert Island, so… the first one that comes to mind is, “From time to time I send Dwight faxes. From himself. From the future.” I rewound that about 5 times…

    6. Ooooh, favorite prank? I think it’s from this season, during the sales meeting that Dwight is taping when they all start yelling out that Dwight is naked or has a tattoo, etc. Funny, funny.

    7. Creed & Meredith… anything for more Creed.

    8. Michael’s. I mean, come on, who doesn’t want to meet the woman who birthed Michael Scott. Just ask her a few questions…

    9. I notice Jim and Pam are NOT a choice! Then I choose Ryan and Kelly. Hysterical.

    10. Pam tells Jim off (the girl had things to sort out). He likes the feisty, says he’s still in; making out in the conference room.

  4. Jennie on April 19th, 2007 11:30 am

    #1: The Injury

    #2: Always always John

    #3: Most exotic-looking: Karen

#6: Dwight’s stuff in the vending machine

    #7: Phyllis & Kevin

    #8: Kelly’s Mom

    #9: Dwight & Angela

#10: Karen goes to corporate, Pam goes to fess up to Jim, but he’s so upset by being alone he decided to take that trip to Australia…permanently. He has only left a note.

  5. Lauren on April 19th, 2007 11:31 am

#1: Casino Night-Maybe it makes me a hopeless romantic, but i can watch the jam kiss over and over and it never gets old!
#2: Jim Halpert-John Krasinski is too adorable for words
#3: Craziest in the office-Creed-the man is ridiculous…ridiculously hilarious that it.
#4 Jim, Ryan, Toby, Pam, and Angela
#5: “There is such a thing as good grief. Just ask Charlie Brown.”
#6: Future Dwight…just the sight of Dwight knocking the coffee out of Stanley’s hand, sent me into a fit of giggles that took like five minutes to recover from(also: the pavlov experiment with the computer rebooting and the altoids)
    #7: Oscar and Toby
#8: Pam’s mom-maybe she can finally give us insight into what was said on the phone call on casino night…;)
#9 Dwight and Angela…there is something weirdly enduring about those two…
#10: Pam will finally embrace Fancy New Beesley and tell Jim how she feels…repeat of casino night anyone?

  6. Alyson on April 19th, 2007 11:51 am

#1: I’m going to go with The Fire as well; classic Office.

#2: JIM. Hands down. I’d look forward to growing old with him too.

    #3: The Dundie Goes To…
Angela for Best Karaoke Performance of The Little Drummer Boy.

    #4: Fight! Fight! Fight!…
Jim vs. Dwight: Dwight b/c Jim just wouldn’t care
Ryan vs. Stanley: Stanley, b/c Ryan would run away afraid
Toby vs. Michael: Toby, b/c he really wants to know what it’s like to slap Michael
Karen vs. Pam: Pam, letting out all that inner Karen hatred.
Kelly vs. Angela: Angela, she’s no holds bar.

#5: I hate so much about the things that you chose to be.

    #6: Ok, here’s your gift…
It’s a tie between sending Dwight faxes from the future and breaking Andy’s brain with the hidden phone.

#7: Do you want to form an alliance with me? Absolutely I do.…
Some employees are forming an alliance to get more camera time. Which alliance would you like to see more of (no mixing and matching):

Creed & Meredith: More Creed is always a good thing, and we go whole episodes without the drunk redhead.

#8: No, no one is helping me out Mom…
Oh, what I would give to know why Angela is the way she is.

#9: Office romances are nobody’s business but the people involved…
Who is your favorite Dunder Mifflin couple?
    Dwight & Angela

    #10: I want more than that…
Pam and Jim have it out, Pam confesses her love, but Jim isn’t sure yet of what direction to take, but ends it with Karen.

  7. Clare on April 19th, 2007 11:54 am

Yay for Office Thursday!! 🙂 hmmm and a pop quiz…

    1.The Injury
    2. …umm…what?
    3. “What were you thinking?” dundie goes to Karen Fillipelli
    4. Jim outwits Dwight, Ryan wins by default cause Stanley won’t participate, Toby reasons with Michael.. no fight, FNB all the way baby!!, Kelly chats Angela to death
    5. hmm… I loved the ‘environment of welcoming’ line too but this one also made me laugh, and then cry.. “I went hunting once. Shot a deer in the leg. Had to kill it with a shovel. Took about an hour.”
    6. gaydar
    7. Creed and Meredeth
    8. Pam’s momma
    9. Ryan and Kelly
    10. Classic Pam and Jim, laughing, smiling, can’t help themselves anymore…

  8. Melissa S. on April 19th, 2007 12:08 pm

    1.) Casino Night!
2.) Ryan Howard – Hot Bod! Total Asshole!
    3.) Fanciest New Hairdo
4.) Jim – He can get the drop on Dwight anytime as long as no weapons are involved besides Dwight’s Guns
Stanley! Ryan is such a wimp
Michael! Toby is also a wimp
Karen would win the physical fight, but Pam would win a cold war
Kelly vs Angela is truly an even match
5.) “I would save the receptionist.” – Jim
6.) Best. Prank. Ever. Future Dwight faxing present Dwight
    7.) Creed & Meredith
8.) Pam’s Mom – What did you say to Pam during that fateful phone conversation after Casino Night?
9.) Why isn’t Jam on this list? 🙁 Dwangela, they are too cute together.
10.) Pam goes to the Graphic Design program in NY. Karen goes to corporate. Jim is alone and has to reflect on what a jerk he has been all season.

  9. Jen on April 19th, 2007 12:08 pm

    #1: “Health Care”

#2: Ryan—cause I’d rather grow old with Jim.

#3: Ryan and Kelly get the Dundie for best cubicle partners…ever.

    #4:
    Jim vs. Dwight —Dwight.
    Ryan vs. Stanley —Ryan
Toby vs. Michael —Toby, he probably has a lot of anger inside.
    Karen vs. Pam —PAMMYYYYY 🙂
    Kelly vs. Angela —Kelly

#5: This was a hard one:
    1. Performance Review:
Pam: It’s performance review day, company-wide. Last year, my performance review started with Michael asking me what my hopes and dreams were, and it ended with him telling me he could bench press a hundred and ninety pounds. So I really don’t know what to expect.

    Michael: Pam, you’re trustworthy.
    Pam: Thank you.
    Michael: And a woman.
    Pam: Oh no.”
    2. Safety Training:
    “They found the castle, Michael.”

    but so many more.

#6: Definitely Andy’s cell phone and Dwight thinking it was Friday.

    #7: Creed & Meredith

#8: It’s a tie between Mrs. Beesly, (I would really like to know what her daughter said to her about Jim all those years, and what went down in their Casino Night conversation) and Mrs. Scott, because, she is a saint.

#9: Well, because the “will they/won’t they” couple of the century isn’t listed, definitely, Dwight & Angela.

    #10:
    Oh boyyy: 25 words?!?!?!?!??! ( I tried)
Karen transfers out becuase she can’t put up with the Jim & Pam tension. Jim and Pam fight right before the finale, and have a big cliffhanger ending.

  10. Lisa on April 19th, 2007 12:26 pm

#1: The Fire (that was hard to decide…)

    #2: no contest, Jim

#3: Most Likely to Move to be with a guy “who’s just not that into you” Karen

    #4: Dwight over Jim
    Stanley over Ryan
    Toby over Michael
    Pam over Karen
    Angela over Kelly

#5: What has two thumbs and hates Todd Packer? THIS guy!

    #6: future Dwight faxes

#7: I’d like to see tons of Phyllis and Kevin- what a combination of explosivity and sloth…

#8: I think Darryl’s mom would be a hoot. Zoppity.

#9: I’m feeling the love for Ryan and Kelly… his kiss after her netflix explanation was awesome.

#10: I’d like them to return to the pointed looks and longing glances, but only if Karen is out of the picture. Roy’s gone, it’s only fair. That, and maybe a brushing of fingers when they’re standing next to each other. (Was that too loud? I feel like I’m typing too loudly.)

  11. mg714 on April 19th, 2007 12:29 pm

    1. Casino Night – nothing beats Jim’s confession to Pam, followed by their kiss. Steve Carell’s writing was brilliant!
    2. Jim, of course
    3. Best baby name – Kelly for Usher Jennifer Hudson Kapoor
    4. Fights: Dwight, Stanley, Toby, Pam, Angela
    5. It’s so difficult to pick just one… here are two, though: from Christmas Party, Michael saying “Happy Birthday Jesus, sorry your party’s so lame” or from Casino Night, Jim to Pam: “I’m in love with you.”
    6. Jim putting Dwight’s things in the vending machine
    7. Creed & Meredith
    8. Jim’s mom
    9. Dwight & Angela
    10. Pam & Jim finally having it out with a big argument leading to a really passionate kiss 😉

  12. Angela on April 19th, 2007 12:42 pm

    1. Booze Cruise
    2. Jim
    3.
    4. Jim, Stanley, Toby, Pam, Angela
    5. I have lots of favorite quotes, but this is one of my favorites:
Jim: Well if you’ve never been sick, then you don’t have any antibodies.
Dwight: I don’t need them. Superior genes. I’m a Schrute. And superior brain power.
    6. Dwight’s stuff in the vending machine
    7. Creed and Meredith
    8. Jim’s mom
    9. Ryan and Kelly
    10. Karen leaves, and Pam tells Jim she loves him. He says that he still loves her, they kiss again, and pull another prank on Dwight.

  13. Mary on April 19th, 2007 12:49 pm

    #1 – Office Olympics –Flonkerton
#2 – Can I pick someone from the warehouse – Darryl
#3 – And the “Painfully Inappropriate by Hysterically Funny Dundie” goes too……MEEEEEE!!!!!!
    #4 Jim – I mean come on
Stanley – He has issue with Ryan and his daughter (who is on Jericho by the way)
Toby – That sweet soft spoken man could so unleash some whoopass
Karen – She know’s she is losing Jim, so might as well mess up her face
Angela – I mean, look at her. She could give you the “look” and you would be dead.
#5 – I choose this one, because I totally understand what she is talking about – “I don’t think it would be the worst thing if they let me go. Because then I might…Its just, I don’t think it’s many girls’ dream to be a receptionist.”
#6 – Andy’s phone in the ceiling. It was nice seeing Jim and Pam again
#7 – Phyllis and Kevin – Kevin makes me laugh and Phyllis is Phyllis.
    #8 – Jim’s mom
    #9 – NO JAM? Dwangela
#10 – Is it bad that I dream about JAM?
Pam walks into the lunch room, Jim is there, pissed, they have it out, things are revealed, but who is going to say it first…?

  14. Omeletville on April 19th, 2007 1:08 pm

    1) Casino Night because it has a little bit of everything

    2) Toby, because I feel bad for him.

    3) Karen would recieve the ‘Wool Over Her Eyes’ Dundie

    4) Dwight has knunchucks and throwing stars, soo…Stanley would pulverize Ryan with mere intimidation, Toby would pull an ‘Andy’ and let out all of his rage, ditto with Pam. Kelly seems like she could throw down if Ryan were involved but otherwise, Angela would whoop it. She’s vindictive.

    5) Lately, I can’t help quoting Michaels horrible Borat impersonation for the ST deleted scenes, ‘ Not niiiiccccce!’
Also love Dwight’s pumping Michael up on the roof by doing ‘that thing’/Jim…*Air Guitar* ‘Michael is awesome! Jumpin off the roof! Bouncin on the bouncy bounce! Show em who’s boss! Tear a whole in the suuuuuuun!’

    6) Future Dwight and Darryl teaching Michael ‘black man phrases’

    7) Phyllis and Kevin

    8) Pam’s Mom

    9) Dwanglela

    10) Jim breaks up with Karen. Pam makes her move. Love insues.

  15. Mannie on April 19th, 2007 1:45 pm

    1. I’d have to say Conflict Resolution only because of the list of pranks Jim played in Dwight. How could you not love that?
    2. Sorry, I can’t choose one, but I can choose 3 at once… Jim, Andy and Roy 2.0
    3. The dundie for “Humptie Dumptie Brain Syndrome” would go to Andy
    4. Dwight only because he used hidden weapons, Stanley because his daughter is in the audience, Toby, Pam and Angela.
    5. There are so many… It’s simply beyond words. It’s incalculacable or I.D. badges are long overdue. Security in this office park is a joke. Last year, I came to work with my spud gun in a duffel bag. I sat at my desk all day, with a rifle that shoots potatoes at 60 pounds per square inch. Can you imagine if I was deranged? and there was also one in Gay Witch hunt where they were wondering who was gay. Michael said something about Angela and couldn’t Dwight see Angela in bed with another woman, but I think that’s because of Dwight’s face at the end.
    6. I love all the pranks Jim pulls, but I think my favorite is when they made him believe he was going to CIA training and he showed up in the middle of the night, then threw his phone away because he’d been compramised.
    7. Creed and Meredith. The others seem to be getting more play this season.
    8. Kelley’s mom definately.
    9. Dwight and Angela since on Jam
    10. Karen realizes Jim’ll never get over Pam, transfers. Pam goes to art convention, Jim takes a trip. Unknowingly same place. Hotel’s overbooked, they share room.

  16. Kayla on April 19th, 2007 2:00 pm

    1. Hmmm… I’m going to go with The Injury

    2. Jim. That shouldn’t even be a question

    3. Best baby name… goes to Kelly for Usher Jennifer Hudson Kapoor

    4. Jim vs. Dwight:
Jim because Toby made Dwight get rid of the mace.

    Ryan vs. Stanley:
Stanley because he’d be so enraged that someone made him stop doing his crossword

    Toby vs. Michael:
Toby. We all know Michael can’t fight.

    Karen vs. Pam:
I don’t know. I love Pam, but she has no aggression….

    Kelly vs. Angela:
Angela. Kelly would just try to talk herself to death

    5. Hmmm. Perhaps “Count Chocolutis.” “Whew. Sounds tough” “Why did you write that Jim? Is it because you know I love Count Chocula?”

    6. I think either faxes from future Dwight or Dwight being invited to join the FBI.

    7. Phyliss & Kevin

    8. I think I might have to go with Michael’s. He seemed to having an interesting childhood and we deserve to know why Michael is well, Michael

    9. Man. I can’t choose. I love the top 3!

    10. Jim tells Karen she’s a rebound just as Pam professes her love to Jim. Last shot: Pam and Jim kissing.

  17. Jaime on April 19th, 2007 2:41 pm

    1. The Injury, hands down. I’ve seen it millions of times and it never, ever gets old.

    2. I’d do Ryan. Second hottest in the office!

    3. My Dundie: Best Alter Ego. And the winner is…Andy/Drew Bernard!

    4. Jim vs. Dwight – Well, that depends. If it was just fists, then I think Jim would win. I don’t think Dwight knows how to fight, except karate. And, really, where is that going to get you?

Ryan vs. Stanley – Stanley. No explanation necessary.

Toby vs. Michael – Aww. I don’t want them to fight! I think, though, if Toby ever fought back (verbally, not physically), Michael would back off and realize Toby isn’t just a punching bag. If that happened, I don’t think it’d ever get physical.

Karen vs. Pam – Pam. Hands. Down.

Kelly vs. Angela – Angela! Absolutely!

    5. My favorite quote of all time? My favorite humorous quote is probably “Dwight! You forgot your bumper!” My favorite sad quote is “I’m in love with you.”

    6. I don’t think anything will ever beat Jim’s mind powers in Casino Night.

    7. I’d like to see an alliance of Creed and Meredith. Anything to get that man more screentime.

    8. Just one mom?! I think I’d go with Pam’s mom, to find out more about how Pam felt about Jim before season 3.

    9. DWIGHT AND ANGELA FTW!

    10. 25 words or less?! Okay. Here we go.

Jim still loves Pam, and breaks up with Karen. (9) Karen transfers to Corporate. (13) Pam and Jim have a huge argument, eventually kissing. (22)

    Oh! I am the master.

  18. natasha on April 19th, 2007 2:45 pm

    1. Only one? What a terrible island. If pressed though, I think I’d have to go with The Dundies.
    2. Jim, duh.
    3. Dundie to Michael Scott for Best SongRewriter for his work on Tiny Dancer. “You have won a tiny dundie…”
    4. Jim would outsmart Dwight
Stanley would kick Ryan’s butt six ways to Sunday
Pam, because I’m always on Team Pam
    Angela; that woman is fierce
    5. “Dwight, you ignorant slut.”
    6. Jim, why is my stuff in the vending machine?
    7. Oscar and Toby.
    8. Michael’s mom. I feel as though she is the answer to all things Michael Scott.
    9. Ryan and Kelly all the way.
    10. Karen finally wakes up and realizes how paperthin her relationship with Jim is and moves to NYC. A few episodes later, Jim makes some snide comment about Roy or Casino Night, or something to that effect, Pam finally lets herself get angry and yells at Jim, in the process of the fight Pam reveals how she feels about Jim. Jim stops and stares at her for a second. And then he kisses the hell out of her. Cue happiness.

  19. Merrie on April 19th, 2007 2:47 pm

    1. Office Olympics

    2. Jim

    3. The Best Kisser Dundie goes to Oscar (Michael is still trying to prove he’s OK with Oscar’s homosexuality).

    4. Jim. Before Dwight even takes a swing.
Stanley will work Ryan up and down again. The man has some anger issues he’s willing to take out on “the kid.”
Toby finally goes off on Michael.
Karen’s Italian heritage gets the best of Pam.
Kelly … after Angela tells her Suri and Shiloh aren’t adorable.

    5. “I’m not a hero. You know who’s a hero? Hiro, from Heroes. Also Bono.”

    6. Andy’s phone in the ceiling. I laughed so hard when I saw Pam stuggling not to laugh the first time she called it. And Jim’s face when he hangs up the phone after Andy punches the wall — awesome!

    7. Creed and Meredith — please!

    8. Michael’s. I want to know what she did to mess him up so much.

    9. Ryan and Kelly. I wasn’t a big fan of Ryan, but I love seeing how those two work. Usher Jennifer Hudson Kapoor would be an adorable baby.

    10. Jim holds an ice pack to Pam’s face after Karen punches her. “That was stupid, wasn’t it?” Pam asks. Jim smiles. “No, it wasn’t.” They kiss.

  20. Jules on April 19th, 2007 2:48 pm

    1. For now, I’ll go with “The Injury”

    2. Ryan.

    3. Best use of heroism…Dwight!

    4. Jim vs. Dwight:
    Dwight.

    Ryan vs. Stanley:
Stanley, because when he’s mad, he’ll come and get you!

    Toby vs. Michael:
    Toby.

    Karen vs. Pam:
    Karen.

    Kelly vs. Angela:
Angela, because of that glare and Kelly’s lack of anything else but talking.

    5. Off the top of my head:
Dwight: When I die, I wanna be frozen. And if they have to freeze me in pieces, so be it. I will wake up stronger than ever because I will have used that time to figure out exactly why I died and what moves I could have used to defend myself better now that I know what hold he had me in.

    6. Dwight’s desk in the bathroom.

    7. Creed & Meredith.

    8. I think I would want to talk to Angela’s mom, as long as I can stand her for the duration of the conversation.

    9. Dwight & Angela

    10. Karen gets a promotion, leaves Scranton and Jim. Jim is sad, has long talk with Pam, but leaves for a long vacation.

  21. Amy on April 19th, 2007 3:04 pm

    1. Office Olympics
    2. Jim
    3. Most Improved Hairstyle goes to Pam, since we know she can really spruce herself up if she puts in the effort.
    4. Dwight, Stanley, Toby, Karen, Kelly
    5. “win-win-win” has made it into my vocabulary on a semi-regular basis so I’ll go with that one.
    6. I also loved the meeting where Dwight is recording it and Jim et al. join in saying he’s doing crazy things.
    7. Creed and Meredith
    8. Jim’s mom
    9. Jan and Michael
    10. Before leaving for corporate, Karen tells Jim he should talk to Pam. While walking to his car, Pam comes up and says “listen, Jim…”

  22. jenintx on April 19th, 2007 3:04 pm

1)This is tough, but Casino Night
    2)Umm…Ryan…and Jim…at the same…time…oh, I’ve said too much.
3)’Best Rock out to an 80’s hairband song’-Dwight
4)Jim-think his sweet demeanor might just be a cover, hello broad shoulders!/ Stanley without question/ Toby; once you pop his top, he just might not stop!/ I think Karen has some unresolved anger towards Pam too, plus if she tries to kick Pam’s ass, maybe Jim will kick her to the curb./Angela could beat Kelly to death with a bible.
5)Dwight-Women are like wolves. If you want a wolf, you have to trap it. You have to snare it. And then you have to tame it. Keep it happy. Care for it. Feed it. Lovingly, the way an animal deserves to be loved. And my animal deserves a lot of loving.
6)Jim putting Andy up to asking Pam out by telling him all her ‘favorite’ things- Lassicclay
    7)Creed and Meredith
8)Jim’s mom-who raised the perfect man?
9)Phyllis and Bob Vance-they’re so adorable I want to pinch their cheeks, even though they could be my parents
10)Karen finally loses her cool and has a big fight with Jim over his obviously not being over Pam, and leaves Dunder-Mifflin, naturally Pam consoles Jim.

  23. MozartsFriend on April 19th, 2007 3:29 pm

    1. The Injury (unless I’m allowed to bring deleted scenes too, in which case I might choose Safety Training)
    2. RYAN, hands down, no question.
    3. Since Michael seems to leave Dwight out of the Dundies, I’d give Dwight the “Office Protector Award”
    4. * Jim vs. Dwight –Dwight
    * Ryan vs. Stanley –probably Stanley, Ryan is afraid of him
    * Toby vs. –Toby
    * Karen vs. Pam –Karen
    * Kelly vs. Angela –tough one! Angela
    5. Too many to choose from… my favorite as of late it “The hand strikes, and gives a flower”
    6. The grief counseling circle
    7. Oscar & Toby, I just love both of them
    8. Pam’s mother because she seems adorable!
    9. Ryan and Kelly
    10. Karen will be offered a better job, but she and Jim will stay together. Pam will confess and Jim will turn her down.

  24. HealthcareHottie on April 19th, 2007 3:42 pm

    1. Healthcare – it never gets old.

    2. Kevin, because he has that whole teddy bear thing going on and afterwards we could just watch bowling.

    3. The “right place, right time” award goes to creed for snaping a picture of Hanna’s left breast and making it his wallpaper.

    4. Jim vs. Dwight – Jim, b/c there’s a 30% chance he could attack Dwight from the front.
Ryan vs. Stanley – Stanley all the way. Nothing can pacify the wrath of a dad trying to protect his daughter.
Toby vs. Michael – Toby, b/c Michael has it coming.
Karen vs. Pam – Pam, b/c ol’ Pammy is gettin’ what she wants.
Kelly vs. Angela – Angela, if she could tame Daryl with that look she could quiet Kelly with it too.

    5. “Just as you have planted that seed in the ground, I will plant my seed in you.”

    6. Jim training Dwight to salivate by feeding him Altoids every time he reboots his computer.

    7. Creed & Meredith

    8. Andy’s Mom – I’d like her to explain who taught him to be such an explosive suck-up.

    9. DWANGELA!!!

    10. I don’t care how it happens as long as there is honesty involved and they finally get together as couple, oh and I’d like to see some tonsil hockey please.

  25. Amanda on April 19th, 2007 4:16 pm

Oh my gosh. This is going to be SO hard, but also a fun way to spend a slow afternoon at work (that’s what she said). Okay, here it goes…I’ll do my best:

#1 – It’s pretty much impossible to choose, but if someone put a potato gun to my head and MADE me, I’d probably go with Casino Night because it’s packed top to bottom with the kinds of hilarious and touching

#2 – To quote Kelly in The Fire, “Jim. Definitely, definitely Jim.”

    #3 – I would give Jim a Dundie for Best Co-worker Impressions

#4 – Jim’s more clever, but Dwight’s got more weapons (nunchucks, spud gun, etc.), so I’ve gotta go with Dwight.
Stanley would definitely kick Ryan’s ass (he already kinda did in that one deleted scene from Cocktails).
I’m going to go out on a limb and say Michael would beat Toby in a fight…just because he’s crazier, and he’s already got so much anger and hatred toward Toby.
Karen and Pam are both too mature to get into an actual fight, but if we’re indulging the fantasies of men and boys everywhere, I’d say Karen. I’d be rooting for Pam, but Karen seems savvier, so she’d probably win. But I’d rather they just hug it out.

#5 – Again, this one is SO hard (that’s what she said–or HE said) because there are just so many brilliantly hilarious quotes to choose from. But the first one that comes to mind that ALWAYS makes me laugh is from Casino Night…
    PAM: It’s a nice tux.
DWIGHT: I know. It was my grandfather’s. He was buried in it, so…[he walks away]
Honorable mention goes to Dwight saying “Okay, see you later, Pan” during The Injury.

#6 – As with questions 1 and 5, this is really difficult to answer because Jim (and Pam) have pulled so many great pranks. Some of the best:
    -Gaydar
-Putting Dwight’s resume on Monster.com, Craigslist, etc.
    -The faxes from “Future Dwight”
-Jim helping Andy hit on Pam by bringing up everything she hates
Okay, sorry…I know three’s too many, but I couldn’t narrow it down to just one.

#7 – Creed & Meredith all the way. Those are two of the most hilarious characters on the show, and we don’t get nearly enough of them.

    #8 – I guess I’d choose Michael’s mom. Just because.

#9 – I’m going to go with Ryan and Kelly

#10 – I’m hoping Pam finally works up the cojones to tell Jim she loves him. Who knows what happens after that? I totally trust the writers. (Exactly 25!)

Thanks for the thought-provoking questions, GMMR!

  26. Angie S. on April 19th, 2007 4:23 pm

    1. The Dundies

    2. I’ll never tell! 🙂

    3. Speaking the Best Pig Latin goes to Andy

    4. Dwight, Stanley, Toby, Pam, Angela

    5. There are so many quotes I can’t think of one right now but anything Michael says to or about Toby. Poor Toby. Oh and basically anything Creed says is awesome!

    6. Jim stabbing Dwight’s exercise ball with the scissors.

    7. Oscar & Toby (mainly just Toby)

    8. Pam’s mom

    9. Dwight & Angela

    10. We will see them at a place in their lives they have never been at the same time…single. Making out would be nice too.

  27. Sarah on April 19th, 2007 4:43 pm

    1. The Injury

    2. Ha, as if that’s even difficult. Jim, Jim, JIM!

    3. “Princess of Awesome” award goes to Kelly Kapoor.

    4.
-Jim vs. Dwight: Dwight. He has pepper spray. And throwing stars.
-Ryan vs. Stanley: Stanley. Verbal abuse will triumph.
-Toby vs. Michael: Michael. Toby will just give up and go to Amsterdam instead (for a week…or three).
-Karen vs. Pam: Karen. She has Call of Duty training.
-Kelly vs. Angela: Angela. Because she is evil like a hobbit. I bet she kickboxes too.

    5. “You think Stanleys grow on trees? Well they don’t. There is no Stanley tree. Do you think the world is crawling with Phyllises? Show me that farm. With Phyllises and Kevins sprouting up all over the place. Ripe for the plucking. Show me that farm. ”

    6. Dwight’s desk in the men’s bathroom. I LOVE Kevin coming out of the bathroom with his candle.

    7. I’d like to see more of Creed and Meredith. They are always the first to get cut, and damn it, I want more!

    8. Micheal’s mother. An intense conversation about Michael’s childhood would be absolutely fascinating.

    9. Ryan and Kelly!! The deleted scene of them in the dumpster is seriously GOLD! Please let them get married and send little Usher Jennifer Hudson Kapoor into the world.

    10. Fancy New Beesly finally confronts Jim at Pam’s desk. Jim and Karen are over (she’s taken a job at Corporate). It’s basically the Casino Night confession, but in reverse, with out all the I can’t’s. Jim basically says that it’s always been her. That he knew it then, he knows it now, and he’ll know it forever. Then cue lots of kissing and making out.

  28. Carly on April 19th, 2007 4:59 pm

    1. E-mail Surveillance. Easy one.

    2. Wow. Well.. initially i was going to go with Jim.. but when you put it like that…. nah still jim.

    3. Kinkiest in the Office goes to.. ANGELA! We all know it. Look how bothered she got during The Negotiation.

    4. Jim. Stanley. Toby. Karen (Pam’s just not aggresive enough). Angela. It’s that easy.

5.Wowww. The one i quote the most is (very very oddly) “Cool cool,” from Christmas Party when Michael is ordering booze. The exact quote is “Cool, cool… box it up”. It doesn’t sound like much.. but i say it EXACTLY like michael does.

    6. These just keep getting tougher. I laugh everytime Jim says “Guys. The Afghanastanannies.” That whole scene is a great ensemble prank.. theyre all just trying to confuse one another.

    7. Creed and Merideth. No question.

    8. Thats between Pam and Jim. I’d pick Jim’s and tell her to tell him to tell pam he loves her. Simple 🙂

    9. Ah! Im gonna go Ryan and Kelly.

    10. They can’t just get together.. we need SOMETHING to look forward to over the summer. Jaren splits. Both single.

  29. Bonnie on April 19th, 2007 5:23 pm

    Great game, GMMR.

    1. Casino Night. It was pure perfection.

    2. Ryan for tonight. Jim for always.

    3. Hottest makeovers: Phyllis and Karen.

    4. Dwight, Stanley, Toby, Karen, Angela.

    5. “Jim has a crush on Pam.” Creed: “Ahhh, so which one is Pam?”

    6. The giant “core” ball.

    7. Creed and Merideth. No question.

    8. Easy – Michael Scott’s. Whaaaaat???

    9. Definitely Ryan and Kelly. That kiss on the forehead last week caused me to move Ryan to the “would do” #1 position.

    10. Pam decides to move on – introduces a new minor character. Someone hot. At the same moment, Karen adioses Jim and she leaves on a positive note. Final scene – Pam finds out Jim is finally single and their eyes meet. Fade to black…..

  30. Jessica on April 19th, 2007 7:02 pm

    1. Casino Night. I don’t know how many times I’ve watched it but it never gets old.

    2. Jim. I took a quiz on some website and it said that Jim is my tv boyfriend. I was over the moon about this.

    3. Best Falsetto goes to Andy Bernard.

    4. Jim. boy would fight dirty if provoked.
Stanley. he scared the crap out of Ryan just by yelling at him. I bet Ryan would run away.
    Toby. he’s the business.
Pam. I’ve been told that I have a lot in common with Pam, so I gotta stcik with my girl.
    Kelly. she’d be scrappy.

    5. “You gotta take a chance on something sometime, Pam.”

    6. either the nickels in the phone or Future Dwight.

    7. Creed and Meredith. Creed slays me every time he’s on the screen.

    8. Jim’s mom. maybe she could offer some insight into her son’s brain.

    9. Ryan and Kelly. so dysfunctional.

    10. Karen gets promoted, ends relationship with Jim. she encourages Pam to approach Jim, she does, but he wants time alone. the frustrating sexual tension continues.

  31. threec on April 19th, 2007 7:21 pm

1 Drug testing for all the great silent Jim faces and the Hi-Hey
    moment.

    2 Jim

3 Best Attack from the Front – Jim Halpert

4 Jim, Stanley, Toby, Pam (she’d have the fury of countless
viewers in her corner) and Angela

5 Lately my son and I have been saying “MINT CHOCOLATE
    CHIP” a lot

6 The Pavlov’s Altoid prank -because I was a psych major

    7 Creed and Meredith

    8 Jim’s mom

9 Lately my favorite couple- Ryan and Kelly

10 Any scenario involving Karen leaving Scranton will put a
smile on my face. Jim and Pam need some time to heal-
but a real first date at Cujeno’s (sp?) would be nice.

  32. DelegateFromIceland on April 19th, 2007 7:21 pm

OK, I should be writing my paper for class tomorrow, but this sounds funner.

    1. The Injury will always be my favorite.
    2. John, but grow old with Jim.
    3. The Couple With the Least Chemistry IS … Jim and Karen!
    4. Jim could take Dwight, especially if he attacks from the front. Those kinds of attacks always take Dwight by surprise.

Stanley would kick Ryan’s ass! In fact, I’m sure Ryan’s soiled himself a few times already when confronted by Stanley.

Toby would take Michael. Michael’s too much of a wimp, and Toby has much pent up anger.

Karen and Pam is harder … but I think I’m going to have to go with Karen, unless Pam is given the proper motivation (i.e. winner takes Jim.)

And Angela would totally take Kelly down! Did you not see her death-ray glare at the end of Traveling Salesmen?!
    5. “Dwight … you forgot your bumper.”
    6. Jim locking Dwight in his “workspace” then throwing the ice cream sandwich at the window. Gets me every single time.
    7. I’m going to say Oscar and Toby, mostly because I want more Toby.
    8. I have long said I want to meet and talk with Mama Scott. That woman … intrigues me … is intrigues the right word?
    9. Normally I would say Dwangela, but I have a new-found love for Ryan and Kelly.
    10. Pam’s honest about Jim. Karen leaves. World rejoices.

  33. kate on April 19th, 2007 8:14 pm

    #1: Desert Island Episodes

Really hard, toss up between Booze Cruise, Basketball, and Drug Testing…at the moment I would have to say Drug Testing because of Jim and Pam

    #2: Who Would You Do?

    Jim, no question.

    #3: The Dundie Goes To…

Dwight Shrute for being an ignorant slut!

    #4: Fight! Fight! Fight!…
    • Jim vs. Dwight – Jim, he’d outsmart Dwight
    • Ryan vs. Stanley – Ryan, Stanley wouldn’t fight
    • Toby vs. Michael – Toby
    • Karen vs. Pam – Pam
    • Kelly vs. Angela – Angela especially if it’s Kelly

#5: Abraham Lincoln once said, that if you’re a racist, I will attack you with the North, and those are the principles that I carry with me in the workplace.…

I have too many, but right now:
Jim – Oh my god! Dwight got a hooker! Oh my god, I gotta call … I gotta call somebody, I don’t know who to call … Dwight got a HOOKER!

    #6: Ok, here’s your gift…

Another toss up between the Vending Machine and when Jim has Andy hit on Pam with horrible information…

#7: Do you want to form an alliance with me? Absolutely I do.…

Oscar and Toby, I love Toby!

#8: No, no one is helping me out Mom…

Jim, to see what’s really going on with that man.

#9: Office romances are nobody’s business but the people involved…

Ryan and Kelly, they are so funny!

    #10: I want more than that…

Roy tells Jim about Pam’s feelings because he wants her to be happy. Jim confronts her in the parking lot…ends without us knowing what happens

  35. Jess on April 20th, 2007 7:22 am

    1. Business School
    2. Mr Halpert
    3. Best Newcomer – Andy Bernard
    4. Jim, Stanley, Toby, Pam & Angela (or maybe that’s just who I hope would win :o)
    5. ‘A boss is like a teacher and I am like the cool teacher. Like Mr Handell. Mr Handell would hang out with us and tell us awesome jokes and he actually hooked up with one of the students. Um, and then like tweleve other kids came forward. It was in all the papers. really ruined eigth grade for us.’
    6. Definitely Jim putting Dwight’s stuff in the vending machine. ‘Where’s my wallet?’ ‘Oh there it is. J1’ Priceless!
    7. Creed & Mary Beth :o)
    8. Definitely Michael’s mum!
    9. Has to be Dwight & Angela or Dwangela :o)
    10. I think they’ll leave us hanging again – they have to really. I think it will get out that Pam like Jim more than she’s letting on and Jim will confront her about it and ask her and I think the episode will end there (sorry I couldn’t say it in 25 words!)

  36. tessahessa on April 20th, 2007 9:59 am

#1: Desert Island Episode – A different answer than my “favorite” episode, but Casino Night.

    #2: Who Would You Do?
Roy. I am from the Electric City, and have some, ahem, experience with blue-collar townie boys from Scranton. There is a hidden, confused sweetness there (which David Denman has down to a tee) that is sexy as hell.

    #3: The Dundie Goes To…
For Best One-Man, Four Part Harmony: Andy Bernard!

    #4: Fight! Fight! Fight!…
    * Jim vs. Dwight: I have a feeling that Jim could somehow convince Dwight to knock himself out…
    * Ryan vs. Stanley: I don’t think Stanley would even join in, so Ryan wins by default.
    * Toby vs. Michael: Toby would consider it a “win” if Michael won the fight and was promptly relieved of his duties, so Michael both wins and loses.
    * Karen vs. Pam: Pam. Beware of the quiet ones.
    * Kelly vs. Angela: Kelly. I fear her manic outbursts.

    #5: Quote:
“So, you’re PMS-ing pretty bad, huh?”

    #6: Ok, here’s your gift…
Has to be Andy’s phone. Every time a coworker’s phone has gone off since that episode, I am more amused than annoyed.

#7: Do you want to form an alliance with me? Absolutely I do.…
    * Creed & Meredith

#8: No, no one is helping me out Mom…
Pam’s mom – I have to know the other side of that conversation!

#9: Office romances are nobody’s business but the people involved…
    * Dwight & Angela – No matter who we are, we all have our kindred soul, and these two prove it.

    #10: I want more than that…
FNB sees Dwangela, and from one look, she knows Jim does, too. Seeing others get what they want causes them to take the leap, too. (25 on the button)

  37. Jen on April 20th, 2007 10:33 am

Re: Kate, who is on the cover of that People! I need to read that for myself….

#1: “Who has two thumbs and would bring ‘Sexual Harassment’ to a desert island? THIS GIRL!”

#2: Ryan Howard (and then after our hot lovin’ Jim would be the guy I’d marry).

#3: “And the Dundee goes to Meredith Palmer for best use of a life jacket / only time I DIDN’T enjoy seeing a flashing.”

    #4:Jim
Stanley – and then Kelly would jump in and verbally defend Ryan’s honor and make Stanley wish that he would have lost.
    Toby
    Karen
    Angela

    #5: wow. quote –
“All things considered, I was lucky Dwight was there. And Roy was lucky that Dwight only used pepper spray. Not the nunchucks or the throwing stars.” – Jim

#6: Michael calls Jim in Stanford asking about the Gaydar that he told Dwight he could buy – Jim tells them that it is sold out. They then look it up on the Sharper Image website.

    #7: Creed & Meredith

#8: Meredith’s mom – we could meet at the bar.

    #9: Oscar & Gil (Oil)

#10: The few episodes leading up to the finale – Pam will be inching her feelings out towards Jim and dropping hints for him to realize that he should break up with Karen. Karen leaves the Scranton office but her and Jim DO NOT BREAK UP and try a distance relationship with Pam not fully disclosing her feelings for Jim. LIMBO!

  39. jenn on April 22nd, 2007 8:42 am

Because I’ve can’t stop thinking about this poll, I had to add at this late date. I think about this show WAY too much!

    1. Drug Testing
    2. Jim. Is there even a question. Also, there is someone in MY real-life office…
    3. Best Office Protector: Dwight K. Schrute
    4. Jim, Stanley, Toby (LOTS of pent-up aggression in there!) FNB, Angela
    5. “Hi.” “Hey.”
    6. It was going to be Jim popping the fitness orb, but it HAS to be Jim impersonating Dwight. Omigod-can’t stop watching, can’t stop laughing!
    7. Oscar and Toby–I imagine they could be quite devious.
    8. Jim’s mommy
    9. Ryan and Kelly-he’s probably my least favorite but she humanizes him

    10. The documentary crew breaks the third wall and lets Jim in on Pam’s POV. He’s confused and scared and avoids her. Pam can’t take it anymore, says “Jim, I really just…miss you”.
    End of season.

  40. Benaiah on April 23rd, 2007 2:17 pm

I am late to the party, but here goes:

    1) Casino Night is the obvious choice, so I will go with The Fire… or Email Survelience… or The Client. Yeah, definitely the Client.

    2) Karen. It is a tough call, but she is just too gorgeous. Plus, Pam seems like she would be bad in bed, she is too compliant and doesn’t assert herself. Though you know what they say…

    3) Best boss – To be given in perpetuity to M. Scott.

    4) * Jim vs. Dwight – Dwight, Jim isn’t the violent type (plus Dwight probably has weapons on him).
    * Ryan vs. Stanley – Stanley, he has a temper and Ryan is obviously afraid of him.
    * Toby vs. Michael – Toby. Michael can’t fight, and Toby goes to the gym.
    * Karen vs. Pam – Oooh… Well, Karen’s dad was a G.I. so maybe he taught her some moves. Karen for sure.
    * Kelly vs. Angela – Kelly, she has sisters while Angela is a 90 pound woman who sits in the dark part of the office.

    5) “Andrea’s the office bitch, you’ll get used to her. I’m Creed by the way.”

    6) Fax from the future takes the cake.

    7) Creed and Meridith, absolutely. Those two would have some wild times.

    8) Jim’s mom. I have so many questions.

    9) Jan and Michael, but Ryan and Kelly is a close second.

    10) Pam puts it all on the line, reversing the situation from the end of Season 2. This time, Jim says yes. Karen rebounds with Toby.

  41. NoGould on April 24th, 2007 2:10 pm

    1. The Injury. Foreshadowing aplenty of what all is to come!
    2. Hmm. Jim? No, he’s been with Karen. Michael.
    3. Creed for Pettiest Theivery…wait. Where’d the Dundie go?!
    4. Dwight, Stanley, Michael, Karen, Angela
    5. “I hate so much about the the things that you choose to be.”
    6. Messages from Future Dwight.
    7. Creed & Meredith.
    8. Pam’s mom.
    9. Jan and Michael.
    10. Jim and Karen will be over, Pam will be beginning a rebound relationship with somebody and by November sweeps Jim and Pam will finally be together.
