I Wish I Was There…

April 26, 2007 by

Yeah, not TV related at all, but I stumbled across this video on YouTube and I just had to share it.

Some brides ask their husbands to take dance lessons before their wedding so they can look graceful on the big day for the first dance. Well this groom went above and beyond. I don’t think I have ever wanted to be at a wedding more in my life. My friends A&H, M&B, and L&G are all getting married this year so here’s to hoping they can arrange this fun at their weddings!!

That is an awesome video Kath. Too bad we didn’t do that at my wedding! I know I could have gotten my maid of honor to do it-she is a HUGE Michael Jackson fan.

Most of my friends wouldn’t do that but there are one or two I could probably convince. 😉 Not that I’m getting married at any time in the foreseeable future.

That was awesome. My fiance wanted to get together his groomsmen to do the Napoleon Dynamite dance.

    …Yeah… lol

It is even funnier when you watch it without sound!

I SO want synchronized dancing at my wedding… but I don’t know which song and I don’t know if the invisable groom would be up for it 😉

but that was amazing! I got stuck watching all the other related videos on youtube for an hour 😛

    Awesome.

I went to high school at this arts boarding school in the mountains. Every halloween, we’d have a dance in the barn (aka the orchestra rehearsal space, we had no gym, obvs.) and at some point during the evening, they’d play thriller and the entire dance department would come in doing the dance. (the jazz teacher was in the thriller video). I looked forward to it every year.

But at my wedding, I think we’ll do the “take off with us” dance from All that Jazz”

My family actually did the exact same thing at my cousin’s wedding last fall. Led by my 56 year old mother and 60 year old aunt. They called the whole family to the floor, and luckily, I chose that opportunity to sneak into the bathroom and avoid the whole fiasco. Thank heaven’s there’s no video of them that I’d have to suffer through or find randomly on youtube.

wow, made my wedding look drab in comparison.

Will have to show it to hubby – he does a lot of wedding discos, and he would probably love them if everyone did something like this… lol!!
