Kristen Bell on LOST?

This is what dreams are made of, and I have a strong suspicion that this scoop is just that…a dream. But according to Michael Ausiello, Kristen Bell is in fact being considered for the role of Charlotte on LOST.
I can tell you for a fact that Kristen’s name has been brought up with regard to the new role of Charlotte, the hot twentysomething who is said to be “precocious, loquacious and funny… a very successful academic who also knows how to handle herself in the real world.” Yep, sounds like our Kristen! The only question now is whether my in-demand BFF is ready to jump back into another series.
Let’s slow down there, Mikey. Kristen’s name being “brought up” and extending an offer to her are two very different things.
And hold on to your hats because what I’m about to say might come as a shock to all of you. I don’t want to see Kristen Bell on LOST. I know, I know that sounds insane but it’s just too soon. She is still very much Veronica to me and I fear seeing her on LOST might take me out the show a bit. And anyway, I’m all about seeing Kristen becoming America’s next sweetheart on the big screen.

I agree with you Kath, but not for the same reason. Being a big fan of Lost I just think that Kristen Bell is too big a name to be cast in Lost. I think that if she were cast all i would see would be VM, not Charlotte. Unless she is just that good an actress (like Elizabeth Mitchell), I just don’t see her merging with an ensemble cast and becoming part of it rather than being Kristen Bell playing Charlotte.

I disagree. I think she would do great work with an ensemble cast. The episodic nature of LOST lends itself to strong performances. She is a good actress and this would allow her not to be type cast.
Jamatic – That was my point exactly. I think that all I would see was Veronica and not Charlotte. That has no bearing on what a fantastic actress Kristen Bell is…it’s more about how I would see it.

Everyone they add to Lost is hated by the fans. Ana Lucia, Libby, Nikki, Paulo… And they ALL GET KILLED OFF. I think if Kristen was Charlotte, people might appreciate her because she is an AMAZING actress. And maybe there will be new fans, watching just to see her.
