Holy Big Brother: Recap with Spoilers

August 9, 2007 by

The following recap of tonight’s BIG BROTHER episode makes reference to information that came from the live BB8 feeds. All the info from the feeds came before tonight’s show and are NOT spoilers for future episodes.

This was by far my favorite episode of BIG BROTHER this season. Getting the updates from our GMMR live feed expert kilwiggle I was 100% positive Eric was going home this week. I don’t know what happened to turn Dustin and Jameka’s vote around but if someone has some insight I would love to know.

Previously on Big Brother…
Ok to back up, let’s go for a very brief recap. Earlier in the week Eric was put on the block. Jameka, Amber, Jessica and Dustin said he had nothing to worry about – he was staying. As of 48 hours ago everything had changed. Eric (being a complete douche) told Dick he was the keeper of a horrible secret about Amber that he was just waiting to reveal (more on the secret later). Dick told Amber that although he didn’t know what her big secret was, he thought it was shady that Eric told him about it in the first place. This issue led to Amber convincing a very reluctant Dustin to vote out Eric. From the reports I received, both Jameka and Dustin (and possibly even Jess) had decided to get rid of Eric this week. Amber had to vote to keep Eric in the game because she swore on her daughter’s life that she would. This even after Amber completely went house on Eric for threatening to reveal her secret. Eric got his ass handed to him in a big way. So yeah, Eric was out…or so we thought.

I Vote to Evict…
Tonight during the live vote, Dustin, Jameka, Amber and Jessica voted to evict Kail. Huh? What? I thought this was a done deal. What happened? Based on what she saw in the feeds, kilwiggle suspects that something was said in the Diary Room that affected the game. Did Big Brother get involved in an effort to save Eric or was something as at hand?

So Eric stays and Kail goes. Dick and Daniele are pissed and the others are feeling like they pulled off a big coup. And now it’s time for HOH.

The HOH Competition…
In a pretty dumb HOH contest, the houseguests are asked to match an evicted houseguest with a quote from their DR confessions. If you get it wrong or if your partner answers correctly first and you are eliminated. It was a quick HOH which was nice. Eric, who desperately needed the HOH kind of got screwed when he buzzed in to answer a question (an easy one at that) and instead of Julie Chen-bot calling on Eric, she said “Nick” which just happened to be the correct answer. The question was DQ’d and on the replacement question, Eric was eliminated.

In the end it came down to Jessica and Jen, and for the first time ever Jessica won HOH. Dustin, Jameka and Eric went all kinds of crazy while Dick went bug-eyed. He had suspected that Dustin had gone back on his word about voting for Eric (although right after the eviction Dustin denied it) and now he had proof. Assuming that Jess is going to put up both Dick and Danielle and the votes go the way I think they will, either Dick or Dani will be going home next week. But then again nothing and no one is safe in the BB house so who knows. So interesting.

Meanwhile in the House…
In the final moments of the show, the houseguests were shown “interacting” live. Dick had already got into Dustin’s face and he had moved on to attacking Jameka’s character. Watch the throwing of the stones, Dick. I’m so beyond ready for Dick to go home so I hope he keeps up this screaming and yelling all week so he can ensure that the houseguests will vote to keep Daniele (I actually really like her and I think she’s a lot smarter player than she gets credit for).

I think I’m going to spend some time watching the live feeds tonight…it’s going to be interesting.

Lots to Discuss Tonight GMMR Readers…
But I want to hear your opinion on a few things. How did you feel about the vote tonight? Were you surprised that Kail went home? And what about the dramatic change in the votes of Dustin and Jameka? All signs are pointing to Big Brother interference. One of the BB8 forums is even saying that Amber told Jameka that the DR was trying to get her to keep Eric just seconds before the omnipresent voice of BB told the houseguests that they weren’t allowed to discuss the DR sessions with other houseguests. It’s all a bit shady to me. But in the end if it means that Dick can go I’m ok with it (and I know a lot of you disagree with me on this one).

P.S. Amber is an Asshat…
Oh and about Amber’s secret? She told Eric that she lied to her boyfriend not once but twice about being pregnant when she knew she wasn’t. Um, Amber, I don’t know if you read over the rules of Big Brother but you are being filmed 24/7…with audio too. Why you would tell a virtual stranger and essentially America a secret of that magnitude is beyond me. Are you really that dumb? I just hope you came clean to your boyfriend about this or you’re going to have some explaining to do when you get out of the house.

Let’s discuss!!

If that’s true about the diary room, then I’m not happy. They shouldn’t be allowed to say anything that might interfere with the game, even if it means their puppet goes home.
Based on Tuesday’s episode I really thought that the vote tonight went the same way that they made it look like it would. The talk that they showed out in the backyard between the four Kail-getter-outers and Eric made it sound like they were going to stick together to keep Eric and get rid of Kail. So I wasn’t surprised.
I liked Eric up until this week. I felt sorry for him that he was being accused of things that he hadn’t actually done or had a choice of, but that thing about holding onto Amber’s secret until he needed it made me pretty mad at him.
I think that Jessica, Jameka, and Dustin (and possibly Zach) are going to last a long time because everyone else is just going to take each other down.

I literally jumped out of my seat when it was Julie said that Kail was leaving the house. I really like Erik, and yeah, I think it was pretty shaddy to spill Amber’s secret to Dick, but I am so over Amber I just don’t care. Does anyone else find it interesting the way Amber has been playing the game, not to mention the 24/7 crying. I remember when she was hanging onto Dick like he was her security blanket, then she got all bff’s with Dustin and now she’s slowly attaching herself to Jameka. Please, Amber, get out of the house. I really don’t know how the DR could have convinced someone to change their vote, it just doesn’t make sense. What would they say or offer someone to change that. If it comes out that the show did step in, that would rip the show apart. But oh man, tonights show was FANTASTIC, the celebration when Jess won I think has to go down in BB history.

Am I the only one that can not stand Eric?! Even before he threatend to tell Amber’s secret. I think he is just obnoxious as heck and I have no doubt that there was some behind the scenes action going on to insure that he was kept in the game. I was afraid that was going to happen too! CBS is thriving on all the challenges that are presented to Eric, and I’m sure he won’t be going until the end… unfortunately..

I read on the feed threads on TWOP, that we saw a sanitized version of Amber’s lies. Apparently, she not only lied to her bf and said she was pregnant, but told him that she had abortions both times. The gist of what I read was that she told him that to make him feel guilty about something. I don’t get the feeds so I’m not exactly sure what it was.

I also read discussion that BB didn’t tell them how to vote, but rather asked them a lot of leading questions that would make them reconsider. I watched the supposed conspiracy clip, and it’s definitely not any smoking gun. I don’t think Dustin ever was going to actually vote to evict Eric, but instead was lying through his teeth the whole time. He knew that once the emotion blew over, he’d be able to bring Amber back around. I have no doubts that he knows exactly what he’s doing when it comes to strategy.

Buh bye Dick or Dani. Hopefully Dick.

I’m pissed, upset and worried! I can’t stand Dustin and his lemmings. This is a total bummer.

  7. Carli on August 10th, 2007 1:33 am

I cannot stand Eric! I really thought he was gone tonight. And Dustin…yuck. I’m pretty sure the only person I like is Jen LOL She cracks me up.

GMMR, I want to know what Jameka did. Could you e-mail it to me or post it in a spoiler section???

Um yeeeaaaaah…something is amiss at the Circle K. I don’t watch the live feeds but there seemed to be a huge chunk missing from the show last night. I don’t know how those votes came down, I didn’t see Dustin make any deal with Dick, or any of the other vote talk. They really didn’t show any fallout from Amber’s blow up…weird. And about Amber… sweet Lord! She makes my skin crawl…

  13. Patty on August 10th, 2007 9:57 am

I was sad to see Kail go but not suprised. I don’t think Dustin or Jamika ever intended to vote Eric out. They are too smart. No way you can let D&D get their way at this point in the game. Jamika knows she needs all the favors she can get with no HOH in her future. I want Jen to win. Go Jen!

  14. Jenny on August 10th, 2007 1:30 pm

That episode last night is exactly why i love reality tv! I love that Kail went and Eric stayed!! Even Eric was surprised I think. I think it’s great that Dani and Dick are mad their plan got foiled! Did you hear Dustin right after the vote telling Dick that he did vote to evict Eric – and pointing it back to Dick that maybe he changed his vote? Classic!

Will we ever see what made the crew change their mind? Did Eric work some magic, or what?

I am so ready for Dick to go…he is such a bully. I like Danielle as well, although she really has limited herself now in her relationships with the other houseguests.

About the diary room stuff…we know from past shows that the BB producers can lead them into believing or realizing certain things by the lines of questioning in the DR. (Boogie and Will talked about that last year.) So I hope the producers didn’t tell them much – but if they did lead them down the path to evict Kail…sucks…but probably something they can’t completly avoid. Can’t wait for Sunday!

I’m super happy that Eric is still in the house and even more excited with Jessica being HOH. I really hope Dick goes this week. Those of you watching the feeds know that he’s getting worse and worse really shouldn’t be allowed to take things as far as he is. I used to be a fan of him and his brutal honesty, but this is just too much and I’m over it.

  16. tara on August 10th, 2007 9:59 pm

I HATE Eric. he is so obnoxious and i’m super annoyed that he stayed in the house. I want Dustin gone. If you watched the feeds you know that he swore on his brother’s life to vote out amber when she asked, which he didn’t. He even made a deal with dick and daniele, and then he straight up lied to Dick after the eviction! Jessica is useless, you couldn’t find brains in her if you had a mine drill, she’s putty in Erics pathetic hands! Uggghhh i’m so upset right now
