WOAH! Preview. Next Week. Landry. Wow… this could potentially be very sad or very awesome – I CANNOT WAIT!

Nice 🙂 How about ‘all aboard the S.S Tata’s?’ Thank goodness this show is back.

I’m so in love with this show. It ranks up there with my Office love. Great episode tonight. I’m not feeling the whole murder storyline, but these writers haven’t disappointed me yet, so I’ll give them time to work it out.

Man, finally a solid season premiere. Heroes disappointed me, so did the Office, Grey’s and HIMYM, but once again the most underrated show on TV manages to be poignant, funny and realistic all in one hour of goodness. I’m not sold on the murder storyline yet, but it was handled really well (which is what you expect from these writers). Who wouldn’t have done what Landry did?
Why this show is great though: it’s not afraid to mix things up. Coach Taylor moving to TMU just freshens things up so much, and prevents the drama from getting stale (see: Anatomy, Grey’s for an example of a stale drama that is afraid to make more than cosmetic changes).

    Great moments:
    S.S. Tatas
Landry & Tyra on the couch
Landry putting sunscreen on Tyra’s back
Buddy Garrity (he’s going to be awesome this year, butting heads with the new Coach)
    Julie and Eric’s heart-to-heart

WWRD pretty much made my night. That whole opening scene was awesome.

I’m still not crazy about the Tyra/Landry storyline, but I am going to reserve judgment until I see how it all plays out. I trust the writers not to make it too cartoon-like, which is my biggest fear.

Connie Britton is amazing. The scene where she is crying on the couch broke my heart into a million pieces.

I am so glad this show is back!

I loved the whole first 5 minute montage. I loved the rest of the episode (iffy about the Landry/Tyra story). Absolutely amazing. The SS Ta Tas was hilarious as well.

First, I have to give GMMR credit for getting me hooked on this show. And then I have to give a standing ovation for last night’s premiere. I enjoyed the entire hour- it never got slow, with a perfect mix of drama, emotion, and laughs. I loved the light hearted beginning and was so impressed as always with the dynamics of the Taylor family- Connie Britton blew me away. I’ll agree with everyone else and say I’m not really sure about the murder storyline- but I trust that the writers will keep it on this side of genuine. As I was watching, I understood where Landry was at, and how they reacted, which is crucial to keeping it believable. We’ll have to wait and see how it plays out. And of course, Buddy Garrity never fails to be a completely annoying and completely engaging hanger-on to the team. Love it all!
I’m 100% there with what Matt said- it was interesting and fresh, with all the heart we know and love without any stale fluff. Keep it up, FNL- it’s great to have you back!

Got hooked on FNL this summer by watching it online. I loved the season premier – I was so glad to see the writers take some chances, esp. with still have Coach Taylor in Austin. Like everyone else, I’m not sold with the whole murder plotline, but I think Landry/Tyra are so cute together. Overall, great show – tell all your friends to watch it!

Awesome to have FNLs back. I wish they had not gone the “murder” route. Maybe injury but the murder cover up bit may be too much for the show. I love Tara and Landry together. They are so cute. The sofa scene was terriffic.

The chemistry in Coach’s family is awesome. They can just look at one another and make me cry.

My daughter got me hooked this summer. We watched the entire DVD in one day and a few hours the next day. That was 22 episodes. 19 one day and 3 the next. Wow. I AM A JUNKIE FOR FNL.
