John Krasinski Hits the Theatre - Give Me My Remote : Give Me My Remote

John Krasinski Hits the Theatre

December 5, 2007 by

Don’t get too excited, this isn’t news about a new role for John Krasinski on Broadway (dare to dream) or a new movie role. It’s just that since THE OFFICE shut down production due to the WGA strike we haven’t heard much from Johnny. But last night John attended the Broadway opening of “August: Osage County”, a highly anticipated new American play by Pulitzer Prize finalist Tracy Letts. As many admirers (yeah that’s a good word) of John know, the boy hightails it out of L.A. and to his home in NYC whenever his schedule allows. John’s been spotted plenty around the Big Apple these days out and about with his BFF’s Joey Slotnick (who also attended the opening last night) and close friend Rashida Jones. So if you’re in NYC keep your eyes open for the unassuming, tall lanky guy with the ears…you never know if you’ll cross paths.

“Close friend” Rashida Jones? The first stage is denial….

Seriously, I wish I had known this yesterday! My boyfriend was just in NY visiting family, I would have requested he hang out around the shows and try to get a pic! My real life boyfriend with my TV boyfriend….sweet.

Believe me … i’ve been keeping my eyes and ears open. He’s hung out in my area twice when I wasn’t there … which made me so frustrated that our paths almost crossed .. but didn’t.

Is it selfish of me to be semi-okay with the strike just because it brings him to New York and therefore, closer to me?

That is so cool that John went to this play. It premiered in Chicago at Steppenwolf last summer.

I wonder what the rest of the Office cast is up to these days? Too bad none of them have a home here in Chicago! 😉
